I think the first picture sums up the mood after KOZ today — SMILES! 😁

What a great day at the lake and a perfect way to wrap up summer before the boys head back to school. We learned about boating, lake, and swimming safety, spent time on the water, tubing, swam, laughed, and most importantly made some great memories together……

A special thank you to everyone who gave their time today, and especially those who brought their boats and helped get our boys out on the water!!! You know who you are, and you silently showed these boys what is like to be a good man. An event like this simply doesn’t happen without people willing to step up, serve, and invest in these young men.

Thank you for being great role models for our boys. They may come for the boats, tubing, swimming, and fun—but the time you spend with them and the example you set can have an impact far beyond one day at the lake.

Fun was had by all. Mission accomplished! 🙌

One Week Away!

Our Kids Outdoor Zone (KOZ) Lake Day is just one week away, and we're looking forward to an awesome day of adventure, learning, and fun! Drop-off and pickup will be at Overland Park Baptist, and we will provide transportation to the water!

The boys will have the opportunity to:

Learn boating safety
Practice lake and swimming safety
Enjoy tubing and swimming
Build friendships
Grow through a biblical lesson
Enjoy lunch together

This is more than just a day at the lake—it's a chance to build confidence and learn valuable life skills!

🌊☀️ Kids Outdoor Zone Lake Day is Almost Here! ☀️🌊

We're excited to announce our next Kids Outdoor Zone (KOZ) adventure at Hillsdale Lake on Saturday, August 8th!

This isn't just a day at the lake....it's an opportunity for boys to:

🛥️ Learn boating safety
🏊 Practice lake and swimming safety
🎯 Build confidence outdoors
🤝 Develop friendships
📖 Hear a biblical lesson and grow in their faith
🌊 Enjoy tubing, swimming, and a day of fun!

Lunch will be provided, and we'll have boats, tubing, and plenty of outdoor adventure waiting for them.

Our goal is to help boys become confident, capable young men while creating memories they'll never forget.

If you know a boy ages 8–18 who would enjoy spending a day on the lake learning new skills and having fun, we'd love to have him, or him join us! Dads are welcome as well!

🕗 8:15 AM – 2:00 PM

Boys ages 8–18 are invited to join us for an exciting day of Shooting and Firearm Safety with our Kids Outdoor Zone (KOZ) ministry!

This hands-on event will teach:
✅ Firearm safety and responsibility
✅ Proper handling and shooting techniques
✅ Respect for the outdoors and others
✅ Teamwork, mentorship, and confidence

KOZ is more than outdoor adventures; it's about building young men of character through faith, mentorship, and experiences they'll never forget.

⛺🛶 It's Almost Time! 🛶⛺

The KOZ Camp Out & Canoe Trip is right around the corner, and we're getting excited!

In just a few days, these boys will be trading screens for campfires, video games for canoe paddles, and everyday routines for an unforgettable adventure.

There will be canoeing, hiking, camping, laughter, stories around the fire, and plenty of opportunities to build friendships and confidence along the way.

Some of the best memories are made when boys step outside their comfort zones and discover what they're capable of.

If your boy is signed up, get ready for an incredible weekend!

That's what KOZ is all about.

Whether we're fishing, camping, canoeing, hiking, or sitting around a campfire, we're helping boys build confidence, character, leadership, and lifelong friendships.

The goal isn't just to create great memories—it's to help shape the next generation of men.
