Lifesong Children's Choir begins Wednesday, September 16 from 5:30-6:15 PM.
Lifesong's purpose is to build a bridge for a younger generation to engage in active and intentional leadership at Holy Cross through music. Kids K-5th grade have fun learning musical elements sung during worship and their significance, special music offerings, and participate in a larger Christmas program. Each year, Holy Cross partners with Metro Lutheran Ministry to collect small appliances for the MLM Christmas Store. It is one of the largest gift-giving programs in the Greater Kansas City are. The store provides over 1,000 families with a joyful and dignified Christmas experience. When purchasing items please keep families in mind, rather than buying items that make single servings. Please bring your donations to the collection bin just inside the front doors of the church. Here is a short list of items they are in need of:
• Electric skillets
• Electric grills
• Air fryers
• Toaster ovens
• Hand mixers
• Waffle makers
• Coffee makers
• Crock pots (4 qt.+)
• Blenders
• Pot & Pans

This year's projects will partner with Tyler's House, Center of Grace, Metro Lutheran Ministry and Hollis Renewal Center with opportunities ranging from hands-on service to projects designed especially for youth and adults with particular skills.

Peter’s proclamation of Jesus as Messiah, Son of the Living God meets the reality of what that means for Jesus, not for Peter’s expectations. When it means relinquishing control and power, Peter isn’t having any of it. How does that sense of loss and ceding power cause discomfort? You’ll be placed with 6–8 others to share a monthly meal – brunch, lunch, or dinner – at homes, restaurants, or wherever your group prefers. Groups run September – May (or longer if you’d like).
