අපගේ ශ්‍රී ලාංකික ප්‍රජා picnic (පික්නික්) උත්සවය සැප්තැම්බර් 19 වැනි සෙනසුරාදා, ඉලිනොයිස් හි වොරන්විල් හි බ්ලැක්වෙල් වනාන්තර රක්ෂිතයේ (Blackwell Forest Preserve) බටහිර නවාතැන්පොළේදී (West Shelter), උදේ 11:00 සිට සවස් වන තුරු පැවැත්වෙන බැවින් එම දිනය වෙන් කරවා ගන්න!

චිකාගෝ අවට ප්‍රදේශවල සිටින ශ්‍රී ලාංකිකයන් මුණගැසී, ක්‍රීඩා, සංගීතය, රසවත් ආහාර සහ කැලෑ පරිසරයක එකට ගත කිරීමට මෙම අපූරු දිනයට එක් වන්න. ඒ අසල කැනෝ පැදීම (canoeing), καyaking සහ කඳු නැගීමේ (hiking) පහසුකම් ද ඇත.

Chicago Buddhist Vihara & Meditation Center හි අද දින (නිකිණි පුන් පොහෝ දින) ඉතා සාර්ථකව පවත්වන්නට යෙදුණු සිල් වැඩසටහන පිළිබඳ තොරතුරු පහත දැක්වේ.

* දහවල් දානය: නිහාල් කුරුප්පු මහත්මා, චන්ද්‍රකාන්ති මහත්මිය ඇතුළු පවුලේ සැම විසින් දහවල් බුද්ධ පූජාව සහ දානය පූජා කරන ලදී.
* ගිලන්පස පූජාව: සෑම ඉරිදා දිනකම පවත්වනු ලබන ගිලන්පස පූජාව සඳහා අද දින දායකත්වය සපයන ලද්දේ White Water Group ආයතනයයි.

Here are the details of the Sil programme successfully held today at the Chicago Buddhist Vihara & Meditation Center in observance of Nikini Full Moon Poya Day:

* Day Dana (Lunch Offering): Offered with great devotion by Mr. Nihal Kuruppu, Mrs. Chandrakanthi, and family.

* Gilanpasa (Evening Refinement/Tea Offering): Sponsored today by the White Water Group, continuing the regular Sunday tradition.

2026 අගෝස්තු මස 30 වන ඉරිදා දින යෙදී ඇති අපගේ මාසික සිල් සමාදන් වීමේ වැඩසටහන සඳහා සහභාගී වන ලෙස අපි ඔබව කාරුණිකව ආරාධනා කරමු.

Dear Friends,

This is a friendly reminder that the Atavisi Buddha Puja will be held this Sunday, August 16, at the temple. We warmly invite everyone to join us for this special and meritorious offering in-person or via zoom.

There is still time to participate by signing up to bring Puja items. Please review the available items below and email [email protected] with the subject “Puja Offering Signup” and the items you would like to bring.

Important: If you are bringing Puja items, please make sure they are delivered to the temple no later than 2:00 PM on Sunday. Timely delivery is very important so that we have enough time to organize and prepare all the offerings before the Puja at 4:00pm.

You may also participate by sponsoring a Buddha statue, tray, flowers, or candle for $100, individually or as a group. If you are unable to attend the Puja in person, please consider participating as an absentee sponsor. Sponsorship funds will be used toward temple maintenance and other meritorious activities.
