Thank you to everyone who joined us for the first "Let's Talk About..." event of the summer, Creating a Safe Sanctuary.

Our conversation invited us to reflect on how we can better embody Christ's love by creating communities of welcome, belonging, and care.

As a God-loving, inclusive community, we believe every person deserves to know they are welcomed, valued, and loved.

Allyship is more than agreement. It is choosing to stand alongside others with compassion, courage, and care—especially when doing so may be uncomfortable.

Safe spaces are created when people know they won't have to stand alone.

Dependence on God doesn’t happen automatically. It grows as we practice trust.

Fasting is more than going without. It is a spiritual practice that helps us turn our attention away from ourselves and toward God. Through fasting, we learn humility instead of self-sufficiency, prayer instead of distraction, and trust instead of control.

Throughout Scripture, God's people fasted as a way of seeking God, listening for guidance, and deepening their faith. Jesus modeled this same dependence, reminding us that true nourishment is found in doing the will of God.

When paired with prayer, fasting becomes an act of trust, humility, and openness to God's work in our lives.

On the night Jesus was betrayed, he gathered with his disciples and gave thanks. He broke bread and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”

In this moment, we are invited into remembrance, not as routine, but as relationship. A call to pause, to receive grace, and to recognize the love that holds us together.

This weekend, we attended the Pride Parade in Aurora as a church and community, showing up together in solidarity, joy, and love.

More than 40 people from the Wellspring community came alongside one another walking, cheering, and celebrating side by side. It was a beautiful reminder of what it means to come together as one community to share in one another’s joy, to honor the dignity of every person, and to reflect the heart of Christ through presence and love.

A day marked by connection, celebration and the kind of unity that continues beyond a single moment. 🤍

Belief alone doesn’t change us. What we do with it does.

Faith is meant to be lived, not just understood. In baptism and communion, we see faith made visible: grace received, remembered, and practiced.

At the table, we remember Christ’s sacrifice and the new covenant established through love. We give thanks, not as routine, but as response. This is where remembrance becomes transformation.

We don’t come to the table to perform, but to be nourished. Not just informed, but formed. In Christ, we are invited to receive forgiveness, to live differently, and to become people who carry love into the world.

This is not a private moment. It is a shared one. Across time, across places, across people. One body, one story, one invitation.

Come and be formed.

The goal isn't simply to know Scripture. It's to encounter the living God through it.

Every page points us toward transformation, teaching us, correcting us, and training us to reflect Christ more fully.

"Every scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for showing mistakes, for correcting, and for training character." 📖

We don't need to see the whole road ahead when we walk with the one who lights the next step.

"Your word is a lamp before my feet and a light for my journey." ✨

Searching scripture is about more than gaining knowledge. It's about transformation.

When we open God's Word with curiosity, expectation, and a willingness to listen, we discover that scripture doesn't just inform us; it shapes us. It teaches, corrects, encourages, and forms us into people who reflect the love and grace of Christ.

May we read slowly, prayerfully, and expectantly, asking not "What can I get out of this?" but "God, how are you inviting me to live today?" 📖✨

A gentle reminder: God's plan is bigger than your plan.

When life doesn't unfold the way you expected, trust that God sees what you cannot. What feels like a delay may be preparation. What feels like a detour may be direction.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding."

There is power in prayer. 🙏

Jesus reminds us, “Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” (Mark 11:24)

Prayer is more than presenting requests. It is an act of faith. It is trusting that God hears, God cares, and God is already at work, even when we cannot yet see the outcome.

So ask boldly. Seek faithfully. Knock persistently. Bring your praises, your questions, your worries, and your hopes before God, believing that every prayer is heard.
