We really do need to stop sinning! Jesus told many of the people He healed to stop sinning. As born again believers, we are called to leave our life of sin and live a life pleasing to God.

You are saved simply by faith in Christ Jesus, “not by works, so no one can boast.” BUT, after you’re saved, you work to show your faith! We were created to know God and make Him known. You know God through faith, you make Him known through works.

Can You EARN Your Salvation? | Bible Time with Charlie

We cover so much in this episode.
Today, we dive into Ephesians 1 & 2 and talk about how on the day we believed, we were marked with a seal – The Holy Spirit. There was nothing we could ever do to earn our salvation other than have faith in God. It was in that moment – the moment we believed – that we received the promised salvation in Christ Jesus. After that is when the work begins. We don’t work to earn salvation, we work to show our faith. We work and we serve because we love God and have truly come to a revelation of what Jesus did for us on the cross. When we believe that, how could we not want to live every day and every moment for Him? We also talk about how powerful the name of Jesus is. Jesus means “God saves”. It’s at the name of Jesus that demons shudder, and it’s at the name of Jesus that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess He is Lord.

Demons hate the name of Jesus because that’s where the power is! Jesus means “God saves”. What does God save you from? Hell. It’s no wonder Satan hates when you know the power and authority that’s in Jesus’s name. Speak Jesus! 🗣️
