The gospel begins with a truth we don't always like to hear: we are more flawed than we realize.

Sin has touched every part of who we are, leaving us unable to save ourselves and separated from God.

But that's not the end of the story.

We are also more loved than we could ever imagine.

God saw the depth of our brokenness and still chose to pursue us. Through Jesus, He made a way for forgiveness, redemption, and new life.

The bad news helps us understand just how good the Good News really is.

A simple question can transform your Bible reading:

"What does this passage show me about God's plan to redeem and restore what was broken?"

It's easy to approach Scripture as a collection of stories, lessons, or historical events. But from Genesis to Revelation, the Bible tells one unified story—a story of a faithful God pursuing and redeeming His people.

When we begin looking for God's character and His redemptive work on every page, Scripture becomes more than information. It becomes an invitation to know Him more deeply.

This week, challenge yourself to read with a different perspective. Each time you open God's Word, ask that simple question and write down one thing you learn about who God is.

We'd love to hear from you: What is one thing you've learned about God's character through your Bible reading recently? Share it in the comments below.

What if the hardest chapter of your story isn’t the end of it?

Joseph could have responded with bitterness, blame, and anger. Instead, he chose to see God’s hand at work even through what was meant to harm him.

The same God who worked through Joseph’s story is still working through yours.

Genesis isn’t just a book of beginnings. It points us to the cross, the empty tomb, and the hope we have in Christ today.

📖 Read it. Reflect on it. See how God’s story connects with your own.

GENESIS

Every story has a beginning, and so does God's story of redemption.

This week, we'll journey through Genesis and see the power of God in creation, the reality of sin, the faith of Abraham, and the faithfulness of God through every generation.

No matter where your story is today, remember: the God who created the world is still at work in your life.

✨ Challenge: As you read this week, look for examples of God's faithfulness and write down one way you've seen that same faithfulness in your own life.

To kick off this Sermon series, Pastor Fred walks us through Genesis, and how it lays the foundation for the entire Bible. It tells the truths of creation, demonstrates humanity's fall into sin, shares God's covenant promises, and reveals His plan of redemption. Listen in as we discover how Genesis answers life's biggest questions and points us to the salvation Jesus Christ provides.

Following Jesus isn't a one-time response. It's a daily invitation.

Every day, Christ calls us to know Him more, serve others, and share His love. And when we miss the invitation, He doesn't give up on us. He doesn't turn away. He continues to pursue us with grace, patience, and love.

No matter where you are today, His invitation is still open. He's still calling. He's still loving. He's still bringing people home.

Our lives are filled with notifications competing for our attention every day. Messages, emails, reminders, and endless distractions all demand a response.

Yet there is one invitation that matters more than any other.

In Revelation 3:20, Jesus says, "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock." He doesn't force His way in. He patiently waits for us to respond.

Maybe you've been putting off a conversation with God. Maybe fear, doubt, busyness, or feelings of unworthiness have kept you from taking your next step of faith. The good news is that Jesus isn't waiting for you to have everything figured out. He's simply inviting you to respond.

This week's challenge: Set aside five quiet minutes and ask yourself, "What has been keeping me from fully responding to Jesus?" Then ask Him to help you take one step of obedience, trust, or surrender this week.

What a beautiful picture of the Church.

When one person turns to Jesus, heaven rejoices. The family of God celebrates. The crowd isn't watching from the sidelines; they're cheering, encouraging, and welcoming others home.

May we be a church that celebrates every step toward Christ and never grows tired of inviting others to experience His grace.

"There will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents..." (Luke 15:7)
