Crossroads Connection Omaha

Crossroads Connection Omaha Crossroads is a prison ministry that serves those who are incarcerated. We help individuals and their families transition back into society.

Crossroads Connection is a community of churches in the Omaha Metropolitan area who have joined together to assist prison inmates in their transition back to life outside of prison. We work to bridge the gap in the current penal system by helping former inmates find their way back into society through the caring support of Christ's followers.

We held worship service at First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue on June 14th and it was a wonderful night of fellowship! David said "we gave out several Bibles, prayed healing prayers, sang joyous hymns, feasted on the Word, shared communion, and were provided a delicious meal by our amazing family!" Thank you to Pastor Martha and all the volunteers for welcoming us and providing the worship and meal for us. We can't do this without our church partners and our CC sponsors and volunteers.

We met for worship at St. Michael Lutheran Church on Sunday, June 7th. Pastor Tim had a great message for us about mercy not sacrifice and we enjoyed music wonderful from Jane on the piano. We all enjoyed a fantastic BBQ meal, complete with ice cream sundaes. Thank you so much to all of you at St. Michael for your hospitality! We can't do this important ministry without our CC volunteers and sponsors, sometimes who drive a bus or their cars to transport the men to these services.

The last two Sundays we have had worship service at Underwood Hills Presbyterian Church. Reverend Ed Steinmetz gave a great message on May 10th, and we had lovely piano music played by his wife Sandra. We celebrated with a catered meal from Subway, a location where one of our weekly attenders is working at on his work release program. We heard from Reverend Karen Moritz on Sunday the 17th, who gave a great sermon on "Living as God's Beloved." We had wonderful piano music from Jim Wiehe and then enjoyed a meal provided by John Rohwer's small group. Several ladies from UHPC helped set up, serve, and clean up - we appreciate you all so much! We can't do this important ministry without all of our church partners and sponsors.

Our latest worship service was held on April 26th at Hope Presbyterian Church. We were treated to wonderful music by their worship band and choir, a great sermon from Pastor Mike, and the biggest potluck meal we've ever seen! The food was delicious and we had a nice time of fellowship. Thank you to everyone for making us feel so welcome and for opening up your food pantry for our men and their families. We can't do this important ministry without all our church partners and their volunteers. A special thank you to our sponsors and drivers who make this possible each week.

We took a short road trip out to First Presbyterian Church of Plattsmouth on April 12th. It was their first time hosting Crossroads Connection, and they were so welcoming and open to our ministry. We enjoyed wonderful guitar music and songs, along with a great message from Pastor Matt. The volunteers spoiled us with a fantastic potluck meal and fellowship. We are so grateful to our church partners, because without them we couldn't do this important ministry. A special thank you to our sponsors and drivers, who help make these Sunday outings possible.
