Para The Tent, el cuidado pastoral es: celebrar juntos la Eucaristía con sabor latino, sentarnos a oír la historia del migrante, defender al oprimido desde la fe y enseñarnos mutuamente que nadie está solo. Somos el rebaño que se cuida en comunidad, porque Cristo, el Buen Pastor, ya camina con nosotros.

For The Tent, pastoral care is: celebrating the Eucharist together with a Latin flavor, sitting down to listen to the migrant's story, defending the oppressed in faith, and teaching each other that no one is alone. We are the flock that takes care of itself in community, because Christ, the Good Shepherd, already walks with us.

The Tent UMC, nuestras reuniones son espacios donde se entrelazan el español y el inglés, donde los documentos de identidad no definen la dignidad, y donde la mesa de la Eucaristía debe ser lo suficientemente ancha para quienes el mundo intenta dejar afuera. Adoramos la sagrada presencia de Dios con nosotros por medio de ritos que honran nuestras memorias colonizadas y, al mismo tiempo, reimaginan su presencia desde lo cotidiano, lo pequeño y lo relegado.

The UMC Tent, our meetings are spaces where Spanish and English are intertwined, where identity documents do not define dignity, and where the table of the Eucharist must be wide enough for those the world tries to leave out. We worship the sacred presence of God with us through rites that honor our colonized memories and, at the same time, reimagine God's presence from the everyday, the small, and the relegated.
