Over the last few weeks, Pastor Brad has been preaching on a simple but powerful truth: we’re better together. Then this Saturday, our Spiritual Leadership Class was on the trap of offense. Different messages, but the same reminder.

God is building His Church by bringing people together, while the enemy is working overtime to pull people apart. But the devil is a liar!

Ephesians 4:3 says: “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Church, let’s be people who choose unity, extend grace, have the tough conversations, forgive quickly, and believe that God can restore what’s broken. There’s too much at steak for us to live divided!

Kids Summer Games is three nights of fun, faith, and friendly competition for kids entering 1st–6th grade! Join us July 22–24 from 5:30–8:30 PM for exciting games, worship, Bible lessons, snacks, and team challenges.

Registration is only $10 per child, which includes a Summer Games t-shirt. Sign up and pay through Tithely. Please include your child’s shirt size in the memo section.

Students entering 7th–12th grade will serve as team leaders. You will help set up, lead games, encourage kids, and make the week unforgettable! Leaders must also register through Tithely to receive a shirt.

We’ve been singing this song at Heritage for decades:

“This is holy ground. We’re standing on holy ground. For the Lord is here, and where He is, is holy.”

A church building may be made of brick and drywall, but we should never lose our wonder of what happens when God’s people come together. There is something powerful about the Church gathered in one accord. When God’s people unite in His presence, He shows up and does what only He can do.

Where He is, is holy.

Today in Spiritual Leadership Class, we exposed one of the enemy’s greatest traps: offense.

Offense is more than a feeling—it is a spirit. A trap designed to hinder spiritual growth, destroy unity, open the door to deception, and pull people away from their God-given purpose.

As a church, we choose forgiveness over bitterness, unity over division, and freedom over offense. We will guard our hearts, forgive like Jesus, and refuse to let the enemy trap us in unforgiveness.

The enemy wants you offended, but God wants you free!
