🧽 Beyond the Pew – This Sunday! 🧽
Join us this Sunday following worship for our monthly Beyond the Pew program as we assemble UMCOR Cleaning Kits!
The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) Cleaning Kit program provides essential supplies to help families begin the difficult task of cleaning up after disasters such as floods, hurricanes, and other emergencies. These kits are assembled by volunteers and churches, then stored in UMCOR Supply Hubs so they can be quickly shipped wherever they are needed across the United States.
This is a wonderful opportunity to put our faith into action and make a tangible difference in the lives of those facing challenging circumstances.
Every third Sunday of the month, Beyond the Pew gives us a chance to serve together beyond our worship service. We hope you'll stay after church and help us assemble these much-needed kits!

🌿👑🐾 Coming July 2026: Taming the Wild! 🐾👑🌿

Inspired by the beloved children’s story “Where the Wild Things Are”, this year’s Vacation Bible School invites children on an unforgettable journey of faith, discovery, and growth.

In Max’s adventure, a wild journey leads him to discover what truly matters. At this year’s VBS, we’ll explore our own “wild things” like big feelings, difficult choices, fears, worries, and the challenges we face every day. We will work together to discover how God helps us navigate them with love, courage, and peace.

Throughout the week, children will learn:

🐾 God understands our big feelings.
👑 We are loved and chosen by God.
🌊 We can trust God when life feels stormy.
🏠 God’s love always welcomes us home.

Through Bible stories, music, crafts, games, snacks, and hands-on activities, kids will discover that they don’t have to face life’s wild moments alone.

Join us as we learn how God helps us Tame the Wild!

Join our neighbors for a community celebration of Juneteenth on Saturday, June 27, from Noon–4:00 PM at Bethany Lutheran Church in Olean!
This family-friendly event will feature live music by the Magic Terry Blues Band, delicious food, a basket raffle, and an afternoon of fellowship, fun, and community spirit. Bring your lawn chairs and come celebrate freedom, culture, and unity with friends and neighbors from across the area.

What an amazing display of generosity from our Christ United Methodist Church family!

Thanks to your kindness and support, we collected a total of 101 jars of peanut butter and jam for our friends at the Olean Food Pantry. These donations will help provide meals and bring comfort to many individuals and families in our community.

Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make this mission a success. Together, we continue to live out Christ's call to love and serve our neighbors. Now will be collecting cups and pop top cans of fruit throughout the month of June!

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Here we are in the month of June, and summer is right around the corner. I know many people will be busy and traveling, and my prayers are with you. 🙏 As we enjoy all that God blesses us with may we not forget the church. Your tithes, gifts and offering go a long way to help the church be the church in this community. You are all needed for the work of God and greatly appreciated for all you do. As we are praying for more sunshine and warm weather so we can enjoy this time of year, may you feel the blessing of God in and through your lives.
