As winter deepens, those experiencing homelessness face increasing challenges brought on by early nightfall and bitter cold. Those facing homelessness struggle with enormous obstacles due to the added darkness and frigid temperatures. On December 21, the longest, darkest night of the year, organizers will light up Lincoln Park with luminaria to promote awareness of homelessness in the community. (Photo from last year)

The annual Genesis House luminary fundraiser aims to “Light the Night” and bring visibility to the hardships many individuals endure during the coldest season. For a $10 sponsorship donation, supporters can help illuminate Lincoln Park as part of a special ceremony scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21.

Please show your support with a $10 sponsorship donation and help us Light the Park! We have a goal of 365 for each day of the year, currently, we are only at 83.

The mission of Genesis House is to provide secure temporary housing and supportive services as homeless adults and families transition to more stable housing.
