Volunteer Spotlight: Michelle Gaudry is a treasured member of our nursery team at The Genesis
Project. She and her husband David have been attending GP for a little over six years. About four years ago Michelle was sitting in a Sunday morning
service when she heard the pastor say, “sometimes we are required to step out of our comfort zone to fulfill God’s purpose in our life.” She had found herself considering volunteering in the nursery, but was always nervous to try because she didn’t have a lot of experience with small children. She mentioned this to a friend who agreed to accompany her upstairs to
connect with nursery staﬀ. She quickly joined the team that day and has been a valuable asset ever since. Michelle says her favorite thing about volunteering in the nursery are the great hugs the little ones give her, and watching them grow from babies to preschoolers.
Michelle was born in South Korea, but adopted and brought to the United States when she was one year old. She is now retired and states that her full time job now is taking care of her husband and their cat, Shelby.
Michelle also enjoys traveling, thrifting, walking and eating good food.
Thank you Michelle for your heart and the loving care you give to the littlest GPers!
