Each month, we'll be sending out a reminder of which days are free for the month (a great idea from one of our local businesses). As a reminder, all state holidays and Sundays are free to park in Ogden's downtown and enforcement is from 8am to 8pm.

There are options.

💙 September is Su***de Prevention Month.

Some struggles are easy to see. Others aren't.

This month is an important reminder to check on the people around us, our friends, family members, coworkers, neighbors, and even the people who seem like they're always the strong ones.

That includes first responders.

Police officers and other first responders spend their careers helping people through some of their most difficult moments. But wearing a uniform doesn't make someone immune to struggling themselves.

Behind every badge is a person.

A person who may have had a difficult call.
A person carrying something home from work.
A person who might need someone to ask, "Are you really okay?"

We want our community, and our own officers, to know that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Check on your people. Listen when someone wants to talk. Take it seriously when something doesn't feel right. And if you're the person struggling, please know there are people ready to listen.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis or considering su***de, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

You don't have to wait until someone is in crisis to show them they matter. 💙
