📖 “…they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” - Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)
✝️ Soaring means rising above what would normally limit us, flying when we should be exhausted, gaining new heights when everything suggests we should stay down, and moving with strength we don’t naturally possess.
Eagles soar by catching wind currents, letting the wind do the work. We need to learn that lesson - to accept the Holy Spirit’s movement and allow it to lift us up, instead of exhausting ourselves by flapping frantically, in our own strength, to stay above the currents.
🙏🏼 Holy God, help us to soar on wings like eagles, rising above circumstances that weigh us down, lifted by strength that comes from waiting on You, elevated beyond struggles that try to keep us grounded.
Teach us that soaring on wings like eagles requires waiting on You, that renewed strength doesn’t come from trying harder but from hoping in You, and from positioning ourselves to receive what only You can give.
Lord, help us to wait on You when we are weary, to stop striving in our own strength and instead position ourselves to receive renewed strength that makes it possible for us to soar above what’s weighing us down.
Remind us that soaring gives us perspective, and that rising above our circumstances allows us to see them differently, from a higher vantage point, with clarity that’s impossible from ground level.
Give us strength to soar today, to rise above discouragement, to fly over obstacles, to gain height that only comes from hoping in You, waiting on You, receiving strength from You.
Heavenly Father, let us soar on wings like eagles, lifted by Your strength, carried by Your Spirit, rising above struggles, flying with renewed energy that comes from waiting on the Lord.
