Would you join us today in praying for the 10 churches that make up the Fayette American Baptist Association? There a numerous individuals from these churches that have served in important leadership roles throughout our Convention family and we are extremely grateful for the way God has used them.

Yesterday, Governor Jim Justice declared today to be a statewide day of prayer. Please join us in praying for the following:

- Our government leaders (local, state, and national) as they help guide us through this pandemic

- Our people, especially those who have been directly affected by the COVID-19 virus or by job layoffs

- Our teachers and school personnel, who are continuing to serve our kids through distance learning and the preparation of meals

- Our medical staff and emergency personnel, who are fighting this virus on the front lines

- Our pastors and church leaders, as they spend countless hours on the phone, seeking to disciple their churches well during this season

- Our world, as this virus has shown itself not to recognize national boundaries

As a family of churches, we invite you to join us in praying that that God would bring an end to this global pandemic, but we also invite you to join us in praying that God would make us attentive His redemptive purpose in this pandemic. May we, as believers, shine a light in our state and may God be glorified in all that we do.

I have never known one whose church attendance is casual at best to thrive in any meaningful capacity.
