Last week, a group from our Global Missions Team traveled to Peru to visit one of our church plant partners in Lima and to establish a new partnership with a nonprofit organization called Kids Alive International. Our team got to witness the Lord at work in different areas of Peru and see firsthand the ways He is using His people to share the gospel, serve vulnerable communities, and make disciples.

We are grateful for the opportunity to come alongside these ministry partners and excited to see how God will continue to use these partnerships to further His kingdom in Peru. Please join us in praying for our partners, the communities they serve, and the work God is doing through them!

During the month of October, we will be collecting items to donate to our local mission partner, Refuge Ranch, which is a Christ-centered residential rehab program for women. They are in need of household items such as hand soaps, cleaners, zip-lock bags, as well as over the counter medicines and canned goods and food like beans, peas, vegetables, oils, salad dressings, almonds, and sugar. Items can be delivered to the box in the Sanctuary lobby.

Every year on the first Sunday in October, churches around the globe celebrate World Communion Sunday to remember that though we span many different congregations, we are one Church and one Body united in Jesus through His death and resurrection.

At First Pres, we participate in this special day in two meaningful ways: our second graders receive Communion for the very first time, and our pastors, deacons, and elders bring Communion out into the community to visit members who are homebound, in the hospital, in rehab, or otherwise unable to attend service in person. It is a beautiful day to celebrate our shared faith and remember that no matter where we physically sit, we are all completely united in Jesus. We look forward to sharing this holy Sunday with you.

Wednesday Nights are BACK! And YOU’RE invited. 🙌

Tonight, September 23, we kick off a five-week study through Ephesians led by Reverend Lucky Arnold.

Wednesday nights are a chance to slow down, open God’s Word, share a meal, fellowship with one another, and grow together, because faith isn’t just about what happens on Sunday. We were made for community, for deeper study, and for walking through life together.

All ages and all people are welcome!

Know someone who could use a little Scripture, community, and fellowship in the middle of their week? Send this to them and invite them to join you!

Register through the link in bio or in the Church Center app.

See you there!
