Good morning!

Today is Palm Sunday!!

Can you imagine what it must’ve been like to have been there (on THAT original Palm Sunday), as the crowd gathered to welcome Jesus as He entered Jerusalem?

Surely if you had lived back then, you would have made a special point to have been there to greet the Lord as He arrived in the city.

Tomorrow morning - on THIS Palm Sunday - Jesus is sure to show up in our sanctuary (as He does every time we gather to greet Him).

Will you make a special point to be here to welcome and to worship Him?

I hope and pray that you will.

If you do, I’m certain you will be edified and the Lord will be glorified!

Get a foretaste of heaven tomorrow (morning) at eleven!

Good morning!

The Scriptures warn each of us, “Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought.” (Romans 12:3b)

Recently read about one guy whose ego was deflated early one afternoon…

The coach’s wife yells to her husband, “It’s Sports Illustrated on the phone.”

The coach falls all over himself racing to the phone, and says, “Hello?”

Then he hears, “For just 75 cents an issue…”

If we fail to exercise humility, we will experience humiliation.

Or, as Jesus put it, “Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.” (Matthew 23:12)

Tomorrow morning (at 11:00), we’ll learn about a cocky king named Nebuchadnezzar.

Together, we’ll discover (as he did) that “IF IN YOUR PRIDE, GOD IS DENIED, GET READY TO SLIDE!”

This worship experience will be the highlight of your weekend…but only if you’re here for it!

Good morning!

A man has six children and is very proud of that fact - cocky about his capacity to create kids.
The guy’s so proud of himself that he starts calling his wife ‘Mother of Six’ in spite of her objections.
One night they go to a party.

The man decides that it’s time to go home, and wants to find out if his wife is ready to leave as well.

He shouts at the top of his voice, “Shall we go home, Mother of Six?”

His wife, irritated by her husband’s lack of discretion, shouts back, “Anytime you’re ready, Father of Four!”

Jesus warns, “Whoever exalts himself will be humbled.” (Matthew 23:12a)

Tomorrow morning (at 11 a.m.), we’ll consider the catastrophic consequences of conceit - the perilous ‘POISON OF PRIDE’ and how it annihilates the arrogant.

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve!

At 6:00 tomorrow evening (until 7:15 at the very latest), we’ll be having our annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, the theme of which this year is “All I Want for Christmas”.

I urge you to make this extra-special worship experience the MAIN priority in your celebration of Christmas.

This hour (or so) will prove to be the most meaningful (and possibly, most enjoyable) 60 minutes (or so) of your entire holiday…Seriously and sincerely!

You (and whoever you bring with you) will have a moving and meaningful encounter with the living Christ…

IF you take the time to worship Him here!
Don’t miss it for the world!

Yesterday, the White House hosted a group of children for the annual Marine Corps Reserve ‘Toys for Tots’ campaign.

At the event, First Lady Jill Biden, greeted the kids with “Happy Holidays!” to which many of the children shouted back, “Happy Christmas!”
As the Scriptures say (in Isaiah 11:6), “A little child shall lead them.”

Each year, almost 10 trillion text messages are sent and received - that’s about 25 billion per day, and several hundred thousand per second.

The first text message ever sent (by a British engineer, named Neil Papworth, on December 3rd, 1992) consisted on two simple words: “Merry Christmas!”

Why, this month, will billions of people (throughout the earth) celebrate the birth of a baby boy born (in Bethlehem) more than 2,000 years ago?

Because Jesus is ‘NOT YOUR AVERAGE NEWBORN’!

His arrival on that first Christmas has changed the world forever - bringing love, and hope, and peace, and joy, and courage, and comfort, and forgiveness, and salvation to all who look to and bow before Him.

Join us here (tomorrow morning at 11:00), as we worship Jesus, who is God ABOVE us, God AMONG us, and God WITHIN us!

Good morning!

As the new month (of December) begins tomorrow, so too does the season of Advent.
Advent is the period of time leading up to Christmas, including the four Sundays that precede the 25th day of December.

As we begin this period of anticipating the arrival of Jesus, tomorrow morning (at 11:00) we’ll be reminded that there are some things that are ‘WORTH THE WAIT’.

We’ll learn a thing or two from a man in Scripture, named Simeon, who shows us how we can have patience even while we long for that which has yet to occur.

I can hardly wait to worship with you here tomorrow morning!

Good morning!

Has God done anything for you in 2024? (Hint: ‘DUH!’ is an appropriate response to such a ridiculously rhetorical question)

If so, give thanks to Him (in the presence of His people) tomorrow (here at His house) at 11 a.m.

As we gather together, you will be urged to ‘RECOUNT YOUR BLESSINGS’ and to express your appreciation to the Lord for all that He has done for you.

Everyone here will have the opportunity to share a brief testimony of thanksgiving.

We will also demonstrate our gratitude to God by singing and praying to Him, and by opening our minds and hearts to His activity among us.

This annual pre-Thanksgiving worship experience is always so meaningful and memorable...You won’t want to miss it!

I guarantee you the Spirit of God will speak to - and maybe even through - you, as you open your ears to - and mouths for - Him.

Looking forward to feeling God’s smile upon us, as we bask in His bountiful blessings!
