Sunday, May 24th is Pentecost Sunday - the commemoration of the day when the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles. "The Pentecost event was the fulfillment of a promise which Jesus gave concerning the return of the Holy Spirit." from The Episcopal Church glossary.

"When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability."

At the recent clergy retreat, Bishop Ruth, and the clergy of The Diocese of South Carolina, surrounded Bishop-elect Canon Wilmot and Bishop-elect Adam Shoemaker to bless them in their new ministries. The photos reveal what is sure to become a powerful memory for them as they begin their new journeys. How beautiful! God is Good, All the time!!!

Our new Adult Christian Education began this afternoon, lead by Mother Sarah and assisted by Joe Lenhard. Our topic is our Anglican/Episcopal Church, how it is a continuation of the Church of the Apostles, our Prayer Book, and how to apply it and use it in our lives. We ended with a service of Compline.

If you want to delve deep into what makes Episcopalians, Episcopalian, then come and join us!

Some of our youth and young adults, with supporters and Mother Sarah, went out for Mexican cuisine as an early Cinco de Mayo today. A great time was had by all!

It's Friday, Day 2 of our Spring 2026 Rummage Sale! Join us from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. 801 11th Avenue North, North Myrtle Beach.

There was a great turnout yesterday and we want to thank everyone who showed up in the rain (yay!) to support our ministry. "Rummage" has grown by leaps and bounds over the years and it could not, and would not, have happened without the support of so many. St. Stephen's is blessed by tireless leadership, and a faithful corps of "Let's do this!" volunteers. God is good! ❤
