The mission of SC Next Gen Ministries is to equip and empower churches, pastors, and youth leaders to faithfully disciple middle school, high school, and college-age students toward a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ. Our vision is to see South Carolina churches and youth ministries transformed to place a strong emphasis on the next generation. As a result, students will be inspired to love

God with all their hearts, grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus, and serve not only their local and state churches but also their communities. To achieve our mission and vision, we uphold five core values:

Build the Wall – Evangelism of the Gospel, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with the next generation and beyond. Seal the Wall – Developing leaders through intentional discipleship, equipping them to grow spiritually and lead effectively. Stand in the Gap – Committing to prayer as the foundation for spiritual transformation and ministry impact. Connect the Wall – Fostering intergenerational unity, bridging the gap between generations to build a strong, united Church. Together, we aim to see the next generation rise as bold, faithful, and impactful followers of Christ!

A FREE kickoff event created specifically for our College & Career young adults! R.E.A.L. stands for Relate. Engage. Aspire. Learn. This is about creating a safe place for real issues, real conversations, and real community. Mixer brunch included, childcare provided, and registration is required!

SC COGOP Youth Ministries would like to welcome Pastor Carlos Perez as the New International Director of Youth Ministries. ()

During the closing service of the 103rd International Assembly on Sunday, July 19, Dr. Carlos Perez was appointed International Director of Youth Ministries for the Church of God of Prophecy.

Dr. Perez is a pastor, educator, speaker, and mentor with more than 15 years of experience in ministry and education. He serves as senior pastor of Newark Community Church in Newark, New Jersey, where he has led initiatives focused on spiritual growth, discipleship, community outreach, and youth development.
He also served as principal of Windsor School in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, working with students and families in specialized educational settings. He has collaborated with multiple school districts throughout New Jersey and holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership, a master’s degree in Theology and Urban Ministry, and a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Leadership from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

Known for his authentic communication style and transformational messages, Carlos has preached and spoken nationally and internationally at churches, conferences, youth programs, juvenile centers, athletic organizations, and leadership events. He has also provided chapel services and spiritual mentorship for collegiate and professional football teams.

His passion is helping people discover their purpose, grow spiritually, and develop strong leadership rooted in faith and character.

Before entering full-time ministry and education, Carlos played football at the University of Florida, where he was a three-year starter. He later became a member of the 2004–2005 NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles.

Carlos and his wife, Madalyn, have been married since 2006 and are the proud parents of three sons, Josiah, Xavier, and Sebastian.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Carlos Perez and praying for him as he begins serving the Church of God of Prophecy and our young people around the world.
