Word has it that today is Fr. John’s 28th Anniversary of Ordination to the Priesthood!

Today, we give thanks to God for Fr. John and his 28 years of faithful ministry, and especially for his continued “yes” to God’s call to serve His Church and His people.

Fr. John, we are blessed to have you here at St. Pius X! May God continue to strengthen and guide you in your priestly ministry and grant you many more joyful and fruitful years of service.

Our Golf Tournament is less than a month away!!!
WHY GOLF? Because It’s More Than a Game.
Sure, spending a Friday on the golf course at Kingsmill Resort sounds pretty great—but our 5th Annual St. Pius X Golf Classic is about much more than 18 holes.

Every golfer who registers, every foursome that takes the course, and every business or family that becomes a sponsor helps support the mission of St. Pius X School Norfolk VA and the students we serve.
It's also a chance to bring our community together—school families, parishioners, alumni, friends, local businesses, and supporters—for a fun day of fellowship while making a difference for SPX.

As we continue making improvements around our campus to improve safety and accessibility, we are installing a small accessibility ramp at the entrance to the church sliding doors closest to the school.

Due to yesterday’s weather, our contractors were unable to pour the concrete as planned. Temporary plywood is currently in place at the entrance to these doors. If you are entering the church through this entrance this weekend, please be mindful of the temporary surface and use caution.

We hope to have the concrete poured this coming week for both this entrance and the new accessible ramp at the corner of the church.

Join Us for Our 5th Annual Golf Tournament!

Registration is NOW OPEN for the 5th Annual St. Pius X Catholic School Golf Tournament, happening Friday, October 2, 2026!
Whether you're an avid golfer, a weekend golfer, or just looking for a great excuse to spend a Friday on the course, we want YOU to join us!

Grab your friends, coworkers, fellow school parents, grandparents, or parishioners and put together a foursome for a fun day of golf, fellowship, and friendly competition—all while supporting St. Pius X Catholic School and church.

Not a golfer? You can still be part of the day! Sponsorship opportunities are available for families, businesses, and community partners who would like to support our school and gain some great visibility at the tournament.

Looking for Faith, Friendship & Fellowship?
Are you looking to connect with a group of faith-filled women who serve, volunteer, and make a difference in our parish community? The St. Pius X Women's Club would love to welcome you!
The Women's Club meets once a month on the first Thursday for fellowship and friendship while also participating in acts of Faith, Love, and Charity throughout our parish and community. From supporting our school and parish ministries to serving those in need, there are many ways to get involved—and have some fun along the way!
Their first meeting of the year is next week on Thursday, September 3 at 6:30 PM in the Parish Hall.
Come meet the women of the Women's Club, learn more about what they do, and see how you can be part of this wonderful ministry. All women of the SPX Community are welcome!

🎒✏️ **THANK YOU, SPX!** 📚🖍️

A HUGE thank you to our incredibly generous St. Pius X Parish community! Our 5th Annual Women's Club-sponsored School Supply Drive was another wonderful success!

We asked, and you answered with tremendous generosity! ❤️ Thanks to your donations, our school is stocked with the supplies our students, teachers, CARES, and school nurse need to start the new school year—and hopefully enough to help sustain our supply locker throughout the entire year!

A very special thank you to Bruna Bryant, who organizes and leads this drive each year, and to our School Student Council and our summer volunteer, Sam M., for helping collect, sort, organize, and prepare all of the donations.

THANK YOU! We truly couldn't have done it without all of you!

WE DID IT AGAIN — THREE YEARS IN A ROW! 🏆🏆🏆

We are thrilled to announce that our school, St. Pius X Catholic School, has once again been voted BEST PRIVATE SCHOOL IN NORFOLK! 🎉💙

That’s THREE YEARS IN A ROW that our amazing school has received this honor!

A huge THANK YOU to our families, parishioners, alumni, friends, and everyone in our community who took the time to vote for St. Pius X. Your continued support means so much to us!

In our continued effort to make our parish and school campus safer and more accessible for everyone, we are making a few minor improvements around campus.

The corner curb near the church’s handicap-accessible entrance is being converted into a sloped accessibility ramp, providing easier and safer access to the church. We will also be adding a clearly marked pedestrian pathway from the back parking lot to the church, helping provide a designated and safer route for those walking across campus.

While this work is underway, please avoid the corner and keep children away from the handicap entrance. The work area is currently marked with cones for everyone’s safety.

Thank you for your patience as we continue making improvements to create a safer, more accessible campus for our parishioners, school families, students, staff, and visitors.

It happened again…
Yesterday, the glass in the front door of our Parish Office was accidentally shattered by a flying rock. Thankfully, no one was injured, and we are currently awaiting a replacement.

In the meantime, the front door will remain closed. If you are visiting the Parish Office during our regular office hours, Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM, please ring the bell to let us know you are here, and a volunteer or staff member will come to greet you.

We apologize for the temporary inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding while we wait for the repair!

Today, we joyfully celebrate the feast day of our patron saint, St. Pius X, whose life was dedicated to bringing all people closer to Christ through the Eucharist.

As a parish and school community blessed to bear his name, may we continue to follow his example of faith, humility, service, and love for the Church.
