This Pentecost Sunday, May 24th, we gather for one Mass at 10:00 am to celebrate the Holy Spirit's fire falling on the apostles.

Come prepared to encounter that same Spirit moving through our community - the courage, the gifts, the boldness that has carried our faith since 1791. We'll worship together and then break bread in fellowship afterward. 🔥

There’s nothing quite like breaking bread with those who showed up for our neighbors all winter long.

The Urban Renewal Center is hosting a Winter Shelter Volunteer Appreciation Dinner on May 28 at 6 PM at First Presbyterian Church (820 Colonial Ave).

This evening is a chance to celebrate the faithful hands and generous hearts that made the Winter Shelter possible — to share a meal, hear stories, and remember why this work matters.

If you volunteered, supported, or walked alongside this ministry in any way, you’re invited.

Bring someone from your ministry or faith community and join us.

Please keep our parishioner Mona Gunn in your prayers as she travels overseas this week! Mona is one of five Gold Star Mothers participating in a Sacred Soil Collection Tour through France and Belgium, visiting cemeteries and honoring fallen service members - including her own son, who was killed in the terrorist attack on the USS Cole in 2000.

The soil collected on this tour will help restore a monument at Arlington National Cemetery in time for America's 250th anniversary this July — where Mona's son is laid to rest. What a profound and beautiful way to honor his memory.

🙏🏿 Safe travels, Mona — the Basilica family is with you in spirit.

The Gold Star Mothers organization honors mothers who have lost their children in war. Gunn has a personal connection to the organization — she lost her son during a terrorist attack on the USS Cole in 2000.
