ROUND TWO. 😂🎉

The storms may have won the first one, but the JCC Block Party is officially back on the calendar!

On Wednesday, September 23 from 6:30–8:30 PM, we’re taking a break from the normal Wednesday night rhythm and making room for one big night together. Food. Games. Time to hang out and connect. And we’ll close the night worshiping Jesus together.

Because sometimes Shared Life looks like sitting around a table. Sometimes it looks like studying Scripture together. And sometimes it looks like taking over the parking lot with your church family. 💙

There’s no one like our God. 🙌

So this Sunday, we’re coming with open hearts, ready for Him to move, ready to give Him our praise, and ready to remember again who sits on the throne.

Whatever this week has held, He is worthy of it all.

David’s story is messy.
He was a shepherd and a king. A giant-slayer and a man who ran for his life. A worshiper. A warrior. A leader. A man of incredible faith and some devastating failures.

And somehow, Scripture remembers him as a man after God’s own heart. Not because David got everything right. He absolutely didn’t. But through victories and valleys, caves and crowns, obedience and failure, David’s life shows us something about the kind of heart God can shape and use.

This Sunday, we begin a new seven-week journey through his story: AFTER GOD’S HEART: The Life of David. And maybe along the way, the question won’t simply be “What can we learn from David?”

Maybe it’ll be: What kind of heart is God forming in us? 💙

Two brothers. Two baptisms. One pretty incredible Sunday. 💙

This past Sunday, Fischer and Holden both said YES to Jesus through baptism. Mom and Dad had the privilege of baptizing Fischer and then Fischer turned around and baptized his brother, Holden. 🥹

What a beautiful picture of faith being lived, shared, and passed on right within a family.

Maybe the most important thing about this week isn’t what you accomplished, checked off, or got right.

Maybe it’s simply this: Jesus is still inviting you to follow Him.

Wherever this week has taken you, tomorrow we get to come back together, turn our attention toward Him, and keep becoming the people He’s forming us to be.

For the last several weeks, we’ve been talking about the habits that shape a life with Jesus.

This Sunday, we bring it all together. 🌱

The Asbury Worship Collective will be with us as we sing, pray, and turn our attention again to Jesus, including a song that will be new to JCC, Center, with a simple prayer at its heart: that Jesus would remain at the center of our lives.

Because the Word, prayer, generosity, solitude, and shared life were never the destination: Jesus is.

And as we close out FORMED with A Life With Jesus, that’s where we want the whole morning to point.

Come ready to worship. Come ready to be formed.
