We gather to worship, to give voice to our liberal faith, and to serve as a church family to people in the Newberry and Lake Murray area. Our liberal faith community consists of a mosaic of individuals who bring with them a diverse array of religious perspectives. We come together to worship, talk about God and spirit, study, play, and work together, grow in Love, do our part in creating a more wh

ole and wholesome world, and create strong, abiding friendships. If you would like to learn more about us and our faith tradition, we hope you will come visit with us. Our beautiful church makes a perfect wedding chapel, as well as a warm, welcoming, comforting place for a funeral or memorial service.

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month. 💜🩵

As we begin this month of awareness, hope, and action, we want to share encouraging news with our community.

Since last September, the Newberry County Coroner's Office has documented a 58.82% decrease in su***de deaths when comparing the period from September 2024–2025 to September 2025–2026.

While this is a meaningful step in the right direction, we recognize that even one su***de is one too many. Every life lost is a son or daughter, a parent, a sibling, a friend, or a neighbor whose absence is deeply felt.

As we observe Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, let's continue to:
💜 Check in on one another.
💜 Listen without judgment.
💜 Encourage those who are struggling to seek help.
💜 Remind everyone that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

If you or someone you know is struggling, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline. Help is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Together, we can continue to reduce stigma, foster hope, and work toward a future where no one feels alone.
