This past Sunday, our community celebrated Sunday School Graduation following Orthros and Divine Liturgy. Congratulations to all of our students!! 🎓

Thank you to our children and their parents for their dedication and commitment to our Sunday School program. It has been amazing to see the immense growth of our Sunday School ministry this year.

We are grateful to our dedicated Sunday School teachers for their commitment to nurturing and educating our youth in the Orthodox faith, and to our clergy for their continued guidance and support🙏🏼

Following the service, the Sunday School teachers graciously hosted a luncheon for our Sunday School family, making the celebration even more meaningful.

Many blessings to our students as they continue their journey in faith and learning! 💙🙏🏻

On May 29th, 2026 our St. Demetrios Cathedral of Astoria GOYA led by Vicky Kostas sponsored St. Basil’s Mission’s May Midnight Run. 120 meals of spaghetti bolognese, water, juices, and snacks were served. Clothing and new undershirts/wear were also distributed.

Today, as we celebrate the Feast of Pentecost, we are reminded that God continues to work in our lives through the Holy Spirit - guiding and strengthening us each and every day. May the Holy Spirit that descended upon the Apostles continue to fill our hearts with faith, hope, peace and courage and inspire us all to grow in love, humility, and trust in God’s will🙏🏼✝️
