THE WORD OF GOD IS NOT DIFFICULT!!!!

God never wrote His Word to confuse you. He wrote it to have a relationship with you.If God wants you to know Him, love Him, and walk with Him, why would He make His Book impossible to understand? He wouldn't. And He didn't.

The Bible is not difficult. When it becomes difficult, it's being taught wrongly.

From the beginning, God spoke in simple language.

- To Adam in the garden, He spoke plainly.
- To Abraham, a nomad, He spoke plainly.
- To Moses, He said: _"I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God."_ Exodus 6:7

The purpose of revelation is relationship. The word "revelation" itself means to unveil, not to veil.

If the Bible was meant only for scholars, God would have given it to scholars. But He didn't.

Look at the Audience: Peasants, Farmers, and FishermenWho were the first hearers of God's Word?

- Israel in the wilderness were slaves and shepherds.
- The prophets preached to farmers. Amos said, _"I was a herdsman and a dresser of sycamore figs."_ Amos 7:14
- Jesus preached to fishermen. Peter, James, and John never went to theological school. Acts 4:13 says they were _“uneducated, common men.”_
- Jesus thanked the Father because He hid things from the wise and revealed them to little children. Matthew 11:25

If peasants, farmers, and fishermen understood God in their day, what does that tell you? Everyone can understand Him.

God did not sit in heaven and say, "Let me write a book that only PhDs can explain." He wrote a book that a fisherman could read and obey.

This is the rule: *If the average person cannot understand a teaching, the problem is not with the Bible, it’s with the teacher.*

- The Bible says: _"These are days of vengeance, to fulfill all that is written."Luke 21:22. That's simple. A farmer can understand "all."
- But false teaching says: "No, 'all' doesn't mean all. Some was fulfilled, some will be fulfilled 2000 years later in another country." That’s when it becomes complicated.

Complicated teaching is how men control people. The simple truth is how God frees people.

Nehemiah 8:8 is our model for teaching: _"They read from the book... clearly, and they gave the sense, so that the people understood the reading."_ The goal is not to sound deep. The goal is so that the people understand.

1. Because He wants a relationship. You don't build a relationship with someone you can't understand.
2.Because He is a good Father. A good father doesn't give his child a puzzle when the child asks for bread. Matthew 7:9-11
3.Because faith comes by hearing. Romans 10:17. If you can't understand what you hear, you can't have faith.

God is not the author of confusion. 1 Corinthians 14:33. Man is.

You don’t need Greek dictionaries, charts, and secret codes to understand God.

When God says the kingdom was at hand in Jesus’ day, believe Him.
When He says all things written were fulfilled in the destruction of Jerusalem, believe Him.
When He says the Law brings wrath and the Law is removed, believe Him.

The Bible is God’s letter to His family. It was written to be understood by His family.

If you can read, you can understand. If a fisherman in Galilee could understand Jesus, you can too.Stop letting people make difficult what God made simple. Open the Book like a child, and your Father will speak to you clearly.

"The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple."Psalm 19:7

Stop telling people Jesus is coming back soon because Jesus has come back already. Today, Jesus is no longer in heaven. He's dwelling on earth in us.

THE 2ND COMING OF JESUS: IT’S NOT WHAT THEY TOLD YOU IN CHURCH

If you ponder and really analyze what was going on in the church at Thessalonica, the implications are huge — and it shatters our modern idea of the Second Coming.

Here is what was happening:

Paul writes to the Thessalonians because some in that city believed that Christ had already come. Someone had come to them saying, "The Day of the Lord has already come." 2 Thessalonians 2:2.

And the church was shaken. Troubled. Some stopped working. But they _believed_ it. That is the key.

Now ask yourself this: If the Day of the Lord is what modern churches say it is — earth burning, sky falling, time ending, all the dead of all ages biologically rising from the graves, mountains melting, oceans vanishing, the cosmos being destroyed to give way to a new creation — how could _anyone_ possibly believe that it had already happened?

Think about it.

If the Second Coming means the end of time and human history, if it means this physical earth is annihilated, how could the Thessalonians wake up the next morning, see the sun still shining, see the marketplace still open, see Rome still ruling, see people still marrying and burying their dead — and still believe the Day of the Lord had already passed?

You can't.

If the Day of the Lord is a global, earth-burning, time-ending, universe-destroying event, no one in their right mind would believe it had already happened while everything was going on normally. You would just look out the window and say, "Clearly, it hasn't happened. The earth is still here."

The fact that they _could_ be deceived into thinking it had already happened proves one thing: That is not what the apostles taught them the Coming would look like.

There is only one way to conclude: Unless the apostles taught them differently about the coming of the Lord. Unless it was spiritual. Unless it was covenantal. Unless it was something that could happen within history without ending history.

Paul said the Coming of Jesus and our being gathered unto Him — _episunagoge_ — would be an event that could be mistaken as past while life was still going on. That alone kills the modern view.

If it's physical, where literally all eyes on the planet see Him descending on a white horse, and all the dead from Adam to 2026 are biologically raised at once, and time ends — how could these guys in Thessalonica believe it had already happened? Would they not have noticed billions of people walking out of graves? Would they not have noticed the earth burning?

The modern church needs to update its perspective about the Second Coming of Jesus.

The Thessalonians were not fools. They were believers who had sat under Paul's teaching for weeks. They believed the Coming could happen in their lifetime, in their generation, without ending the world, because that is what Paul taught them.

Jesus Himself said it would happen before that generation passed away. Matthew 24:34. Paul said some of them would be alive when it happened. 1 Thessalonians 4:15.

They were not looking for the end of the cosmos. They were looking for the end of the Old Covenant age. The destruction of Jerusalem. The coming of Christ in judgment upon that apostate city that crucified Him — just as Yahweh had come many times before in the Old Testament on the clouds in judgment against nations.

It was a coming that could occur, and if you were not spiritually discerning, you might think you missed it. That is why Paul had to write 2 Thessalonians 2 to correct the timing, not the nature.

If you are still waiting for a physical, earth-burning, time-ending Second Coming, you have not understood Thessalonica.
