THE WORD OF GOD IS NOT DIFFICULT!!!!
God never wrote His Word to confuse you. He wrote it to have a relationship with you.If God wants you to know Him, love Him, and walk with Him, why would He make His Book impossible to understand? He wouldn't. And He didn't.
The Bible is not difficult. When it becomes difficult, it's being taught wrongly.
From the beginning, God spoke in simple language.
- To Adam in the garden, He spoke plainly.
- To Abraham, a nomad, He spoke plainly.
- To Moses, He said: _"I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God."_ Exodus 6:7
The purpose of revelation is relationship. The word "revelation" itself means to unveil, not to veil.
If the Bible was meant only for scholars, God would have given it to scholars. But He didn't.
Look at the Audience: Peasants, Farmers, and FishermenWho were the first hearers of God's Word?
- Israel in the wilderness were slaves and shepherds.
- The prophets preached to farmers. Amos said, _"I was a herdsman and a dresser of sycamore figs."_ Amos 7:14
- Jesus preached to fishermen. Peter, James, and John never went to theological school. Acts 4:13 says they were _“uneducated, common men.”_
- Jesus thanked the Father because He hid things from the wise and revealed them to little children. Matthew 11:25
If peasants, farmers, and fishermen understood God in their day, what does that tell you? Everyone can understand Him.
God did not sit in heaven and say, "Let me write a book that only PhDs can explain." He wrote a book that a fisherman could read and obey.
This is the rule: *If the average person cannot understand a teaching, the problem is not with the Bible, it’s with the teacher.*
- The Bible says: _"These are days of vengeance, to fulfill all that is written."Luke 21:22. That's simple. A farmer can understand "all."
- But false teaching says: "No, 'all' doesn't mean all. Some was fulfilled, some will be fulfilled 2000 years later in another country." That’s when it becomes complicated.
Complicated teaching is how men control people. The simple truth is how God frees people.
Nehemiah 8:8 is our model for teaching: _"They read from the book... clearly, and they gave the sense, so that the people understood the reading."_ The goal is not to sound deep. The goal is so that the people understand.
1. Because He wants a relationship. You don't build a relationship with someone you can't understand.
2.Because He is a good Father. A good father doesn't give his child a puzzle when the child asks for bread. Matthew 7:9-11
3.Because faith comes by hearing. Romans 10:17. If you can't understand what you hear, you can't have faith.
God is not the author of confusion. 1 Corinthians 14:33. Man is.
You don’t need Greek dictionaries, charts, and secret codes to understand God.
When God says the kingdom was at hand in Jesus’ day, believe Him.
When He says all things written were fulfilled in the destruction of Jerusalem, believe Him.
When He says the Law brings wrath and the Law is removed, believe Him.
The Bible is God’s letter to His family. It was written to be understood by His family.
If you can read, you can understand. If a fisherman in Galilee could understand Jesus, you can too.Stop letting people make difficult what God made simple. Open the Book like a child, and your Father will speak to you clearly.
"The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple."Psalm 19:7
This is the dispensation of Elihu putting things into its proper perspective and challenging the old status quo of man made religion brought about by Eliphaz Bildad and Zophar.! STILL DA BELOVED.! STILL ONCE SAVED FOREVER SAVED.!
