🔥 SUNDAY RECAP | EVANGELISM SUNDAY 🔥

What a wonderful time we had in the Lord yesterday at The Historic Spain Street COGIC! 🙌🏽

Every fifth Sunday is Evangelism Sunday, led by Evangelist Arlene Giles, and she brought a powerful and timely Word for the house!

We were reminded that our testimony is part of our evangelism. When we tell others how God brought us through, made a way, healed, delivered, or helped us overcome, we are witnessing to the power of God! 🗣️✨

Evangelist Giles also reminded us that hearing the Word is not enough — the Word must be mixed with FAITH! We must read it, believe it, speak it, and LIVE it.

📖 “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” — Matthew 4:4

And what an encouraging reminder that as believers, we have spiritual authority through the name of Jesus! 🙌🏽

Evangelism isn’t just something we do on fifth Sunday — it’s how we live. Tell somebody what the Lord has done for YOU! ❤️

📚✨ SUNDAY RECAP | ANNUAL SUNDAY SCHOOL DAY ✨📚

What a wonderful time we had today at The Historic Spain Street Church of God in Christ as we celebrated our Annual Sunday School Day! 🙌🏽

Our theme was:

🪨 “Build on the Rock of Sunday School”
📖 Matthew 16:18

It was a beautiful service centered on the importance of building our lives on a strong foundation in Jesus Christ and the Word of God!

One of the highlights of the program was “Built on the Rock of Jesus: Jesus Is Our Foundation,” where we were reminded of four important qualities we should carry as believers:

✨ Loyalty
✨ Truthfulness
✨ Dependability
✨ Obedience

Our Sunday School students, teachers, workers, choir, and church family all helped make the day special. We were also honored to have Supt. Adolphus White, Jurisdictional Sunday School Superintendent of the Louisiana East First Jurisdiction, as our speaker for this special occasion. 🙌🏽

A special thank you to Deacon Charles Spotts, Sunday School Superintendent, and everyone who worked faithfully to make our Annual Sunday School Day a success.

Sunday School is more than something we attend—it is a place where we study God’s Word, strengthen our faith, and build a foundation that can stand!

Keep learning. Keep growing. Keep building on the Rock!

Tonight, Pastor Thomas is breaking down a powerful lesson from Matthew 6:3:

“But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth.” — Matthew 6:3 KJV

What does it really mean to give without seeking recognition? Why does God care about the heart behind what we do?

Pastor is teaching us that everything we do for God doesn’t need an audience. Sometimes the greatest acts of faith, kindness, and generosity are the ones that only God sees.
