We are so excited to start our church-wide fast today! We pray that God will give you the strength to get through this time of sacrifice.

Remember: we are fasting from today, January 12th until Friday, January 23rd.

While we are not telling you which fast to do, we are asking that you commit to one type of fast. Here are some articles that can give you guidance as you fast:

Join us in corporate prayer wherever you are every day at 6am, 9am, 12 noon, 3pm, and 6pm. You can pray with others via phone or in person, or you can pray silently in your own space. Remember, fasting without prayer, is just a diet! Find other members who can help keep you encouraged as you fast.

As always, adhere to your medical requirements. It is okay to make adjustments to ensure your physical and mental health. Additionally, our youth can participate as well. It may not be food, but it may be a fast from video games or social media. It's never too early to teach them about seeking God through fasting!

Biblical fasts of various types, lengths, and purposes are found throughout the Bible. When we are unsure which kind of biblical fast to do, God provides many examples for us to read up on.

We want to take the opportunity to thank Judge Nakisha Ervin-Knott, Dr. Toikus Westbrook, Mrs. Leila Eames, and Councilman Eugene Green for joining us on Sunday! They gave us a charge to be engaged and active in our communities. Your words were exactly what we needed to hear!

We also thank our members who brought guests to visit. Congratulations again to Sis. Joann Amedee for bringing the most visitors! A special recognition also goes to Sis. Billie Dolce, Sis.Racquel Goudeau and Sis. Velma Hill for bringing their guests as well.

Remember, it is important to vote and let our voices be heard. Encourage those around you to be informed and involved!
