Prayer for remembrance & Peace:
on the 25th Anniversary of 9/11

May our lives honor the lives of all who have been lost,
all who have suffered in the wake of that terrible day.

May we honor them with our eagerness to work for a world
in which our lives are not swallowed up in violence,
but in which we are set free to be the people
God means us to be.

God has not placed us at each other’s mercy,
but in each other’s care.

May the spirit of God enlighten us,
transform us, and lead us
into life.
Amen.

Lella will introduce The Episcopal Church’s Eco-Regions network, share plans for developing the Watersheds of the Gulf Coast program, and offer ways you can help this work grow.

Lella Lowe serves as the Eco-Fellow for the Watersheds of the Gulf Coast Eco-Region, connecting our region with others across The Episcopal Church and coordinating environmental activities throughout the Gulf Coast. She also chairs the Commission on the Integrity of Creation for the Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast and has worked at the intersection of faith and the environment for two decades.

The EDOLA office will be closed on Friday, Sept 4, as our staff prepares for a wonderful Little Box of Good News Family Camp weekend at Solomon Episcopal Conference and Retreat Center. We will also be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.
