We are marked by a genuine sense of community and a deep love for people. Locust Grove exists to love God with all our hearts, minds, and souls, and our neighbor as ourselves. We believe life's meaning and purpose is found in becoming more faithful and deeply committed followers of Jesus Christ who spread God's Kingdom to a world that desperately needs the Gospel. Our preaching is Christ-centered
and authentic. We are honest about human struggles, and joyful in our proclamation of God's grace. We believe all are called to flourish by living in the embrace of God's love. Our music features talented musicians and in choral, praise band, and congregational singing. Our worship service features traditional hymns and contemporary songs with a blend of sacred music styles. We believe you will be inspired and blessed as we worship through music! We are a missional church committed to advancing the Kingdom of God in this world. We believe service to those in need is an essential part of following Christ. Our local missions efforts address the spiritual and physical needs of the local community. This includes a food bank, disaster relief and emergency response, providing Lunches of Love to children and teens, and partnerships with local schools. We have also made a long-term commitment to international missions. In partnership with Awakening Hope, we make regular mission trips to the region of Chuluc, Guatemala where we share the Gospel, provide medical services, and install clean water systems. Our child sponsorship program offers vital education opportunities for the children of Chuluc. We believe that both as individuals and as a community we are called to grow spiritually. We further believe that growth in Christ affects all parts of our lives and relationships. We offer a variety of age-appropriate opportunities to learn about the Christian tradition, make personal connections within and outside our Church, and serve in the Spirit of Christ. Locust Grove is especially committed to bringing together people of different backgrounds, and perspectives into a loving community. We believe in outreach, hospitality, and building bridges in the name of Christ. We seek to always be a church where all are welcomed and find a place to call home. After 157 years as a church, we are more excited than ever about sharing the Good News of God's love with the local community and the world!
