New Bible Study COMING SOON!

One of the greatest needs in the Church today isn't simply learning what we believe, but understanding why we believe it. When we know the reasons behind our faith, we are better equipped to stand firm, answer life's difficult questions, and pass our faith on to the next generation.

Beginning soon, Pastor Nathan will be leading our church through Bible Doctrine: Essential Teachings of the Christian Faith by Wayne Grudem. This study is for everyone—from those who have walked with Christ for many years to those who are just beginning to grow in their faith.

Each week we'll focus on one chapter of the book, using Scripture as our foundation. Together we'll explore questions like:

- Can we trust the Bible?
- What is the Trinity?
- What does it mean that we are created in God's image?
- Why did Jesus have to be fully God and fully man?
- What happens when we're saved?
- Why does the Church matter?
- What does the Bible teach about heaven, hell, and Christ's return?

Rather than long lectures, each class will include short teaching moments, plenty of Scripture, and thoughtful discussion. Our goal is not simply to gain more knowledge, but to deepen our faith and learn how God's truth shapes everyday life.

This study will follow the chapters of the book over the course of approximately 40 weeks. All you need to bring is your Bible and the weekly handout, which will be provided.

More information—including the start date, meeting time, and weekly handouts—will be shared as it becomes available. We hope you'll join us as we grow together in our love for God's Word and strengthen not only what we believe, but why we believe it.

Life doesn't always go the way we hoped. Prayers aren't always answered the way we expect, and sometimes the fires we face seem to burn longer than we think they should.

If you've ever felt discouraged, overwhelmed, lonely, or unsure of where God is in the middle of your struggle, this Sunday's message is for you. Together we'll discover how faith can remain strong even when life is difficult and why God's presence is often closest when we need Him most.

Today, our church was honored at the WV Annual Conference for excellence in ministry. We received the One Matters Discipleship Ministries Award. This is what was read when it was presented.

"Over the past two years, the numerous baptisms at Rees Chapel United Methodist Church have served as a meaningful sign of the congregation’s ongoing spiritual vitality and commitment to their faith. Each baptism not only symbolizes the individual's dedication to the Savior but also strengthens the church family and its mission to reach the community. Notably, this period of growth has led to a significant increase in children and youth, to the extent that about a quarter of the congregation on a typical Sunday is now under 18. Their presence has brought a renewed sense of energy and engagement to the life of the church, enriching worship, expanding opportunities for discipleship, and fostering a more vibrant community. What we have seen is a season of renewal and sustained momentum in the work of the Spirit within the congregation's life and mission." Thank you for being a Christ-centered and loving congregation!
