The Triune God who created all things sits in your heart. Live like that is true.

(Also, for my sanity as a minister, I should have said, "The Spirit within me is the same God as the Father..." and not simply that the "Spirit in my Heart is also the Father..." Pater non est Spiritus, Spiritus non est Filiius, Fillius non est Pater, omnes sunt Deus.)

One of the favorite metaphors invoked in scripture is the idea that we are, all together, a single body called, "The Church." We each contribute something, in the same way that each part of the body helps to keep the whole alive. So, Christ acting as our head, brings together his body, which together is called "The Church."

Paul speaks about Spiritual Gifts in a way that seems to be demonstrably false. Any person could say either of the quotes he gives as examples and still be in a state of grace or not... Except for the key words, "Speaking by the Spirit." Paul is saying that a person claiming to speak for God cannot contradict God.

The book of Job is a complicated bit of scripture. Throughout it we see our hero Job, asking God the eternal question, "Why are these things happening to me?"

His friends spend the whole book explaining why God was right to punish Job, but Job refuses to accuse God of evil. He is angry, he is confused, because he knows God is good, that's why he is asking these tough questions.

Finally, God emerges to refute Job's comforters. "counsel by words without knowledge, is about Job's friends - not Job.

It is never wrong to question why the world is broken or why bad things happen. There is a great deal wrong in claiming to know why God does what God does.

The Spirit of God is a never ending gift of life, not just for those who receive it, but for those around them. The Well of God's love and mercy never ends, and we always have a place to go to be renewed.
