Meeting went well.

We came together to regroup and built momentum. We want, as a group, to be out in the community, being the hands and feet of Jesus collectively as the body of Christ without the "name on the door."

We will be creating a post to go out to try to get more churches involved. This will include on social media, poster, & in-person invites. We want the community to see us in unity to serve as one body with the love of Jesus! Please share the word!!

Below are the things we will be up to for the remainder of the year:

- 9/11 Vigil
- Help with clean-up for those still
working to get their homes back to
normal
- Free Thanksgiving Dinner
- Table at Westernport Tree Lighting
- Volunteering at Santa's Workshop with
the Church of the Brethren (Tagged -
please share)
- Christmas Eve Vigil

9/11 - Allie will be creating a post with details and posters. Tonya can print if needed.

Allie is reaching out to get dates, what work needs done and if supplies are needed. She will post the details.

Charlie will reserve the park.

Tree Lighting - Charlie will reserve us a table. We will be purchasing little Jesus' & ducks to give out.

Thanksgiving Dinner - Nov 15 from 11-12:30. Meal is Turkey, mash potatoes & gravy, green beans, dressing, pie, roll, tea, water, coffee. Tonya & Charlie are checking our supplies. Charlie has our banner. We still need to determine if we will have donations of turkeys and ofher food or items or purchasing

Christmas Eve - 11:00 at the tree in Westernport. We need people to dress as characters from the nativity & read parts of the Christmas story. Allie is asking the Firehall about Conference room since St. James may still be working on repairs. We'd like a space to give out cookies and hot chocolate after.

Next meeting: October 14 @ 6:00 at the First Baptist Church 109 Philos Ave, Westernport.

We had an amazing day serving our community! We served around 103 dinners! Thank you to all those that helped and thos...

Is your Church looking for ways to spread the Good News of Jesus to the Tri-Towns area? Why not join the Tri-Towns Church Coalition!

The mission of the Tri- Towns Church Coalition is to work together (regardless of domination) to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout the towns of Westernport, Luke and Piedmont.

We have held two Singing in the Park events (unfortunately both had to be moved inside due to weather) which features area Churches and individuals sharing the Gospel through music, two free community dinners and a live Nativity. During all of these events members from our founding Churches have been on hand to share the Gospel and to demonstrate God’s love for His people.

The coalition is planning a Slide into Summer event this June 22nd at the Creekside Park. This will be a free fun event with slides, games, food, and music open to all members of our community to celebrate summer and to show God’s love to His people. We are also planning a third free community dinner for this coming November.

The four founding Westernport Churches of the coalition are Church of the Brethren, First Assembly of God, First Baptist and St. James Episcopal.

If you or your Church are interested in joining in this work, please message us and someone will get back to you or attend our next planning meeting on Monday, June 10th 6:00 at the Church of the Brethren.
This is a rough draft - make any changes.

IMPORTANT: We had to change the date! Be sure to spread the word and make plans to join us!!
