A practical 10-session training on Thursday nights starting on September 10th until November 12th, for non-professionals who want to become more confident and compassionate when walking alongside someone who is hurting.
Together, we’ll explore:
Creating emotional safety
Active and compassionate listening
Understanding and responding to emotions
Asking helpful questions
Supporting without trying to “fix” everything
Sitting with grief, loss, and pain
Recognizing when someone may be in crisis
Healthy boundaries and confidentiality
Knowing when and how to connect someone with professional help
Putting it all together through practical conversation exercises
This training is not designed to make you a therapist. It’s designed to equip ordinary people with practical skills for extraordinary moments—when a friend, family member, coworker, neighbor, or someone in your community is going through a difficult time.
Sometimes the most powerful thing we can offer is not an answer.
It’s presence.
It’s listening without judgment.
It’s saying, “You don’t have to go through this alone.”
If you’ve ever wanted to feel better equipped to support someone during a difficult season, this training is for you.
10 sessions. Practical skills. Compassionate presence. Clear boundaries. A safer way to walk alongside people who are hurting.
