During National Salvation Army Week our Disaster team got to serve at the MCAS Cherry Point Airshow serving breakfasts to the incredible first responders of the SMAT (Fire and Medical staff) engaged in keeping everyone safe for the show. Early in the morning preparations began the smell of bacon was everywhere! Of course we also had fresh fruit and energy bars to stuff in pockets to keep them supplied throughout the day. Proud to serve!

Prep day. What are you doing?
*Insulating exposed pipes in crawl spaces, garages and exterior walls
*Disconnecting and draining outdoor hoses and protecting exterior faucets
*Sealing air leaks around doors, windows and foundations
*Allowing indoor faucets to drip slightly during extreme cold to keep water moving
*Opening cabinet doors under sinks to allow warm air to circulate, while securing hazardous materials away from children and pets
*Locating the main water shutoff valve in case a pipe freezes or bursts
