What if everything you have been striving to earn, God has already freely given? This week at Union Point Church, we opened Romans 12 and were reminded that transformation is not about performing better or hiding less. It begins with receiving the mercy God has already extended to you in Christ Jesus.

Paul's call to "present your bodies a living sacrifice" is not a demand to try harder. It is an invitation to stop using your life to secure yourself and to trust that you already belong to God. A renewed mind does not interpret life through survival anymore. It sees through the lens of resurrection.

You were made for more than shame, hiding, and striving. You were made to be liberated from sin and death and to live as the human God always intended you to be. If you missed it, come join us or catch the message online or the Union Point Church app.

What an incredible Lift Day!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who showed up to serve at Ben Quinn Elementary this morning. From painting, cleaning, organizing, and preparing spaces, to simply showing up with willing hands and joyful hearts, you helped make a tangible difference for the students, teachers, and staff as they prepare for a new school year.

We believe serving our community is one of the ways we lift high the name of Jesus, and today was a beautiful picture of that. Thank you for loving our neighbors well and investing in the next generation.

Ben Quinn, we’re praying for an amazing school year ahead. We love our community and are honored to serve it.

Tomorrow is LIFT SERVE DAY!

This means not services as normal!

Join us at Ben Quinn Elementary at 8:00 AM as we come together to serve our community in practical ways and be the hands and feet of Jesus.

This is more than a workday—it’s an opportunity to Lift Jesus and Lift Others right here in the midst of our beloved community. Whether you’re a regular part of Union Point or joining us for the first time, we’d love to have you serve alongside us.

This Sunday, our church is heading into the community for Lift Day—a day where we get outside our walls and find practical ways to lift Jesus and lift others.

One of our projects this year is helping clean up Ben D. Quinn Elementary School, and knew we could use a little extra help with some power washing.

So we called a friend, Shore Shot Pressure Washing, and asked if he might be willing to come help us.

Not only did he say YES…
He drove all the way from Burlington, NC to serve with us. 🙌

And he didn’t charge us a single penny.

That’s what community is about. ❤️

It’s people using what they have, showing up when they’re needed, and giving generously—not because they have to, but because they want to make a difference.

We are SO grateful for you, Andre, and for the heart behind your business. Thank you for literally going the extra mile to help us Lift Day! 🫶🏼

Join us for Lift Serve Day on Sunday, August 16 | 8:00 AM–1:00 PM as we partner with Ben Quinn Elementary School to help prepare their campus for students and teachers.

At Union Point, we believe rest isn’t just a suggestion — it’s a rhythm of the Kingdom.

From the beginning, God built rest into the fabric of creation, not as a reward for finishing, but as a reminder of trust. Rest says, “God is God, and I am not.” It reorients us, renews us, and reminds us where our strength comes from.

That’s why each year we set aside intentional space for Sabbath.

Along with the last Sunday of the year, we will again observe a second Sabbath Sunday on July 5th.

Our heart in this is simple: to create margin for all of those who faithfully serve week in and week out to slow down, be present with their families, recharge, and embrace the gift of rest.
We love gathering, but we also believe healthy rhythms matter. Sometimes one of the most spiritual things we can do is stop.

So take the day. Breathe deep. Be with your people. Worship around the table, in the backyard, on the boat, or wherever the Lord has you.
Rest is holy.
And rest is part of the rhythm of the Kingdom.
