Sunday services at 8:25 am and 10:35 am, with Sunday School at 9:30 am. Sunday men’s prayer group 7:30 am. Monday women’s prayer group 8:30 am. Wednesday night kids/youth program 6:00 pm. Peter's mother-in-law wasn't refusing to serve.

She was sick.
Something had her down.
Sometimes the obstacle isn't willingness.
Sometimes something inside us needs attention.

Bitterness
Fear
Shame
Unforgiveness
Loneliness
Sin
Brokenness

Before Jesus asked anything from her, Jesus touched her.

Maybe before asking, “Where should I serve?” we need to ask:

“Jesus, what in me needs Your healing?”

Two powerful words appear in Matthew 8:
Jesus saw.

Others saw fishermen.
Jesus saw evangelists.

Others saw a tax collector.
Jesus saw a disciple.

Others saw a problem.
Jesus saw a possibility.

And Jesus still sees people differently.

The world may define you by what happened.
By what you did.
By what you lost.
By where you've been.

Jesus sees what His grace can make of your life.
And He can still use you to serve others.

A Labor Day Prayer | Bless the Work of Our Hands

On this Labor Day, we pause to thank God for the work He has given us and for every person who serves, builds, cares, and gives.

May God strengthen the weary, bless the work of our hands, and remind us that everything we do can be done for His glory.

Sometimes growth begins when someone loves us enough to challenge us.
You can know Scripture.
You can listen to sermons.
You can understand what you're supposed to do.

But eventually faith must become action.

Living a life without application will never lead to transformation.
Sometimes we need someone in the Body of Christ to say:

Pray.Serve.Speak.Give.Step forward.Trust God.

We grow when we live out our faith together.
