Fr. Nick and the entire St. Patrick parish community would like to thank Marlene and Jerry Tachoir for their many years of service and dedication to our church’s music ministry. This weekend will be their last directing the choir and music for our parish, but we know they will still be involved as we move forward.

Please join us downstairs after both the Saturday 4 p.m. Mass and Sunday 11 a.m. Mass as we celebrate the Tachoirs!

NEW MASS STARTING THIS SUNDAY! With the growth of our parish and the limited space we have, St. Patrick will start having an 8:30 a.m. Mass on Sundays starting on September 6th. Confessions will be offered in between the Masses from 10-10:45 a.m. We look forward to seeing you there!

Our St. Patrick Ladies Auxiliary hosted a school supply drive over the last several weeks of summer. We are so thankful for our parish and its generosity! An incredible amount of school supplies was given to our neighborhood schools, J.C. Napier and Fall-Hamilton. Both schools are extremely grateful. Thank you, church family, Ladies Auxiliary, and AOH members!

We always enjoy a visit from Bishop Spalding, who was here recently to celebrate Mass and the confirmation of one of our candidates in the faith. As Bishop said, it is always a blessing to witness someone come forward to be sealed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit and strengthened for a life of discipleship. Let's pray for our newly confirmed parishioner!

The St. Patrick Wedding Guild is in need of volunteers to help with rehearsals and weddings that take place at our church throughout the year. Responsibilities include making sure the church is ready for the wedding, providing direction during the rehearsal and wedding, and serving as a contact to the engaged couple. It is a very easy and joy-filled ministry. Please contact the church office if you are able to volunteer!

There will be road closures around St. Patrick Catholic Church on Sunday, August 23 due to the filming of a television show. As you make your way to Mass, we wanted you to be prepared as you choose a route and parking. For parking, the church's two lots will be available, but street parking may prove a little more difficult. The road closures include:

*4th Avenue South from Oak St. to Hart St.
*Chestnut Street from 3rd Ave South to Railroad Crossing
*Mildred Shute Ave. from 3rd to 4th Ave.
*NB traffic Oak St. from Rep. John Lewis Way to 4th Ave. South
*Cameron St. from 3rd Ave. to 4th Ave.
