The new covenant fulfills the covenant of grace through the finished work of Christ.

By the shedding of His blood, Jesus inaugurated the new covenant, securing redemption for His people and establishing His kingdom. God promised not only forgiveness, but transformation. Through the Holy Spirit, He gives His people new hearts, dwells within them, and causes them to walk in His ways.

“And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you... And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes.” - Ezekiel 36:26-27

“Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah.” - Jeremiah 31:31

“In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood.’” - 1 Corinthians 11:25

The kingdom of God is not merely external. Christ reigns in and through His redeemed people by the power of the Spirit.

Brothers and sisters, the King has come, and therefore His kingdom has come.

Jesus Christ died for the sins of His people, and He is risen from the dead. He is Lord. He is King. And through the Holy Spirit, He empowers His people to live as children of the King even now.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder... Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end.” - Isaiah 9:6-7

“He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son.” - Colossians 1:13

“And I will put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes and be careful to obey My rules.” - Ezekiel 36:27

Because Christ lives in us, we no longer live for ourselves. By the Spirit, we now desire to walk in obedience, holiness, and worship before our King.

There is comfort in knowing our Father is in heaven.

He is not limited by time, circumstance, weakness, or creation itself. He is sovereign, holy, omnipotent, and infinitely above all things. Yet in His greatness, He still calls us His children.

“The Lord has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all.” - Psalm 103:19

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. - Isaiah 55:8-9

In a world that constantly changes, God remains eternal, unshaken, and worthy of our complete trust.
