Pastor Marcy is now "officially official" as the installed pastor of First Christian Church. Thanks to every member of the congregation who attended, Pastor Heidi Hulme, who preached, the Revs. Josh Patty and Liz Woodward, who officiated, the Rev. Linda Tasler Hunsaker, the Rev. Fr. Kevin Powell, and the Rev. Susan Bantz, who were there in support, as well her family Michael Smith and Angela Smith (as well as Pastor Marcy's grandchildren). Sherrie Frieden, Wally Beason, Julie Brockert, Anne Brockert, and the members of the Growing Grace Sunday School for participating. We also thank the lovely ladies who prepared lunch and served it: Deanna Eversmeyer, Jan Roberts, Debbie Dick, and I am sure a folks I cannot remember!! YOU are all so loved and appreciated!

Our hearts are with the McFarland, Whitlow and Harris families and all those affected by this tragic loss.

The Muscatine community is invited to come together this evening at 7 o'clock to support one another, honor cherished lives, and find strength in unity during this difficult time.

Lifting up prayers and sorrow for Muscatine today after reports of horrible violence occurred. Reports are sketchy, but we don't have to know identities to pray for the victims and those who are left behind. God's loving presence be with all of those involved.
