Alright Momma’s, here are the official details for our June event scheduled one week from today! 😊

Can’t wait to see everyone for a fun night at the movies, LGBC style! There will be popcorn, a candy bar and a fun twist to the seating arrangement. Don’t forget your blanket and pillow! As always, friends are welcome! 🙃

What a wonderful time we had last week for our Summer Kick-Off night! Name of the game was to have fun and I think we did just that! 😊 We played a variety of Minute-To-Win-It games:
▪️Adam and Eve Apple Stacking
▪️Gospel Scramble
▪️Noah’s Ark Animal Drop
▪️And lastly, the unwrapping of The Greatest Gift while wearing oven mitts! 🙃

So much fun with these kiddos over the past several months! ❤️ We hope everyone enjoys their summer break!

Keep an eye out for info on our fun events we are planning for June and July. We will let y’all know about our June event once when we have the final details all ironed out. 😊

Lots to cover on this post, so bare with me 😬

We wrapped up our review on the second part of the New Testament last Wednesday night. We then moved to the santuary to have a lesson on prayer at the alter. We lifted up Brother Mark in prayer as he will be having a medical procedure soon. I said a prayer aloud while we all knelt at the alter. It was a sweet moment as several of the kiddos took turns saying their own prayer aloud (at their request).❤️

Side Note: When we sat down at the planning table for 2026, we had planned to follow the school schedule and meet on Wednesday nights during the first part of the year. Take off for summer. And then return back to the classroom when school started back in August. This is still our plan; however, we would like to get together for a couple of fun activities with the kiddos during the summer. We will keep you all posted on those details as we know more. 😉

Tonight will be a little different as we will sit down for “open discussion”. This will allow the kiddos to ask questions and gain better clarity where they may need it. These little minds have asked some big questions in the past, so I am looking forward to seeing where tonight’s discussion goes. ❤️

So much fun last week with Family Night and our Earth Day celebration all in one night! 😊

After a delicious dinner with family, we moved outside for our lesson and bird feeder craft. 🌎

Tomorrow night we will finish the second half of the New Testament to wrap up our bible review. ❤️

We are excited for Family Night tonight at The Grove! All GROVEkid parents are invited to dine with their kiddos for a delicious dinner before we break away to our Bible classes. ❤️

📌Tonight’s Menu: Grilled chicken, hashbrown casserole, fresh salad, fruit salad and a fun Earth Day inspired dessert. 🌎

Y’all come out tomorrow! A little rain won’t stop our Easter Celebration ❤️

🌧️☔ Don’t let the rain stop the fun tomorrow April 4th—Easter is STILL ON at Locust Grove Baptist Church! 🐣✨

Due to the weather, we’ve moved the celebration inside, but we’ve got an afternoon FULL of fun planned!

Join us starting at 2 PM for:
📖 Hear the greatest story ever told
🎨 Face painting
🎲 Games
✂️ Crafts
🎁 Goodie bags for everyone

…and we’ll top it all off with a sweet treat from the The Murray Bank ice cream machine 🍦😋

Our table in the classroom was full last Wednesday night, as were our hearts! 🥰

We are right on schedule with our books of the bible review. Up to this point, we are 2/3 of the way through the Old Testament and will finish up the remainder OT books tomorrow night. 😊

Good Tuesday afternoon, y’all! ☀️
I wanted to take a moment to share what we have been doing in the classroom the last couple of weeks:
▪️March 4 - We created our “Books of the Bible” wall. They did so awesome on this, it looks so good! 😊 This will be something we utilize a good bit while we travel through the books of the Bible.
▪️March 11 - We learned all about the book of Genesis. ❤️ Really felt like we needed one full classroom session to get in all of those details.

While I have you here, I would also like to share our schedule “at a glance” for the next few weeks, plus provide a look into the month of April:
▪️Tomorrow night we will jump headfirst into our journey through the Old Testament. The plan is to cover all OT books by the end of class on April 1.
▪️There will be no class on April 8 (Spring Break); however, we will be back in the classroom on April 15 with plans to roll right into the New Testament.

We can’t express enough how much we enjoy spending our Wednesday nights with your kiddos! We love our GROVEkids! ❤️
