Message from Your Pastor:
Good Sunday Morning Precious Church Family and Friends!
Since we are not able to get together today, I thought I'd like to take this opportunity to share a little Word to challenge you and to help lift your day.
Have you ever wondered "what's God's will for my life?"
Many times in life we yearn for an "ah-ha!!" moment, if you will, that reveals exactly what our Lord wants from us individually.
Like us today, history is filled with examples of those who have tried to find this answer by climbing various proverbial mountain tops to seek such wisdom.
Ironically, the answer is so easy to find - it's plainly revealed within the pages of God's Word.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, "In every thing GIVE THANKS: for this is the WILL of God in Christ Jesus concerning YOU"
Yes, GIVING THANKS is the will of God in our lives!
Some might say that this is being too simplistic.
No, our Giving Thanks to God is His DIVINE CALLING on each of our lives!
Today, we live in a world that so filled with discontentment, anger and strife.
So much so that you can actually feel it while watching the news, surfing the web and even in our public interactions.
How much better would our days be if we did as the old hymn suggests, "Count your blessings! Name them one by one!"
I dare say that even the most frustrating of tasks can be improved simply Giving Thanks.
But notice one key point revealed in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, which says that we are to Give Thanks THROUGH CHRIST JESUS!
My challenge for you all today is simply this;
- For what are you thankful
- And how is this blessing associated with Jesus?"
You may ask, "Preacher, what are you thankful for?
1. For Jesus - who saved my soul!
2. For YOU! I feel So Blessed to be called to serve with you all in our walk with God.
My list continually goes on...
For the more I give thanks - the more thankful I become!
Church, let's seek God's will by giving thanks through our one and only Savior - Jesus the Christ!
Enjoy your Sunday of Giving Thanks!
Love to all
