Wednesday’s Vine Recap: another week in the sermon series Little Sins we found out what the bible says about anger. A sin that a lot of us face daily and Micah walked us through scriptures and really dug into Ephesians 4. We learned about righteous anger versus sinful anger and had a time of reflection and debriefing in small group.

One thing that was made evident during the family meeting last night:
Micah and Megan have been called to ministry and are such a blessing to the youth of Westside Baptist. We had an opportunity to pray over the Bice family following Micah’s ordination. We feel beyond blessed to have a youth pastor who loves and disciples intentionally. We continue to pray for Micah as he continues to follow the calling that God has placed on his heart.

The Vine recap: continuing the sermon series Little Sins we were able to take a look at the not so small sin of pride. Pride is a sin we may often overlook in our lives because it has become so natural. Some of us even walked in to The Vine thinking this message was not for us… and that was definitely not the case. While hearing this sin called out is so convicting we are thankful for the grace of God that saves us from our sin!

The Vine Recap: Last night we started a new sermon series, Little Sins. We started the series off strong with the topic of Gossip. We know all sins are equal in Gods eyes but we can often brush gossip off as something so small we can convince ourselves it’s “no big deal.” We were able to discuss in small group about how words hold the power of life and death and how we must use our words wisely to uplift.
