We are halfway through CAMP LIGHT and WOW—what an incredible week it has been so far! ☀️✨

Our campers have been learning, laughing, worshiping, and making new friends each day. From engaging Bible stories and music in the morning to high-energy games and activities in the afternoon, the joy has been nonstop!

We are so thankful for all of our amazing volunteers and the sweet kids who are making this first year of CAMP LIGHT so special. 💛

We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week holds!

Last week, a group of our Murray1st UMY kids traveled to St. Louis to enjoy a Cardinals baseball game! It was a beautiful day, full of fun, fellowship, and making memories together!

From cheering in the stands to spending time with friends, the trip was a great opportunity to enjoy being together outside of our regular youth activities. We are grateful for these moments that help build relationships, strengthen our community, and create memories our youth will carry with them for years to come.

Thanks to our staff and chaperones that came with us, as well as Pastor Jeff, to help make a great trip for our youth!!

Camp LIGHT starts next week! ☀️✨ We are so excited for a week filled with fun, friendship, learning, and growing together as we experience God’s love in new ways.

It’s not too late to register your child! If you’ve been thinking about joining us, there is still time to be part of this exciting first year of Camp LIGHT.

We can’t wait to welcome our campers for a week of laughter, activities, and unforgettable memories. Come shine with us at Camp LIGHT!

What a great start to our summer Mission Mondays and nothing says summer fun quite like washing the church van! ☀️🧽🚐

Our first Mission Monday of the summer was a blast as our Murray1st UMK grabbed the hoses and gave the church van a much-needed scrub. Before heading outside, they also spent time serving around the church by helping Carrie in the sanctuary and packing boxes for Feeding America.

From packing boxes to spraying hoses, our kids were eager to lend a hand wherever they were needed. We love giving them opportunities to learn that serving others can make a real difference... and be a lot of fun too!

Thank you to everyone who helps make Mission Mondays possible. We can't wait for the rest of the summer!

A quick reminder about a few important things happening at Murray First over the next week!

🎁 Christmas Shoebox donations are due this Thursday. If you’ve been meaning to contribute, there’s still time to help provide Christmas gifts and the love of Christ to children around the world. We’ll be packing shoeboxes on June 26, and anyone interested in helping is encouraged to contact Kendra.

👶 Baby Bottle Campaign bottles should be returned by June 21. Thank you to everyone who has participated in supporting this important ministry. If you still have a bottle at home, please be sure to bring it back by the deadline.

🚚 The Mountain Mission Truck will be at Murray First next week! Start gathering your donations now and help support the vital ministry of Methodist Mountain Mission. Donations may be dropped between June 21-23 and placed in the designated drop-off area to the left of the playground.

As the Murray/Calloway County Special Olympics said, “It takes a village!” We are grateful to be part of that village and many others across Calloway County!

Last week, our Murray1st UMY group helped refresh Rockets Park by repainting areas that had also been power washed by another volunteer in the community.

We are incredibly proud of these young people for stepping up to serve and for showing what it means to be the hands and feet of Christ in our community. Their willingness to give their time and energy made a meaningful impact on a space that so many families and children enjoy.
