✨ Follow along with our Kids in Faith for the final week of our What a Mess series!

Over the past four weeks, our kids have been discovering more about Jesus’ ministry and how He meets us right in the middle of life’s messiest moments. This week, we’re wrapping up the series with a reminder that we don’t have to pretend we have everything together.

📖 Luke 5:30–32 & 18:9–14: Jesus reminds us that He came for those who know they need Him. Through the story of the tax collector who humbly asks for mercy, we see that we can be honest about our mistakes, turn back to God, and trust in His forgiveness.

🙏 Prayer: We prayed for God’s help in offering forgiveness and asked God to help us be honest about our mistakes.

As we reflect this week, we’re asking:
Is there a place where we need to admit we don’t have it all together, like the tax collector who simply asked for mercy? Is there a step we can take to turn back to God instead of hiding? How can we live differently today because we’ve been forgiven?

As we close out What a Mess, we’re reminded that Jesus isn’t afraid of our mess. He meets us with compassion, forgiveness, and love. He also invites us to do the same for others. 💛

We are officially in the -BER months, but our Kids & Youth Wednesday Night Programming is still on a HOT streak! 🔥🔥🔥

Join us TONIGHT at 5:15 PM as the Murray1st UMK and Murray1st UMY continue learning about God and His great workings! The theme is Disney night so rock out in your favorite Disney gear and dinner is nachos so make sure to come hungry! 😋

After dinner, the Kids in Faith will wrap up their "What a Mess" series with the story of the tax collector who humbly asks for mercy, showing that we can be honest about our mistakes, turn back to God, and trust in His forgiveness. The Youth in Faith will have a lesson called God vs the gods and continue to learn more through scripture in the Bible.

We can't wait to see everyone tonight for another great evening of food, fellowship, fun, and growing in faith together!

✨ Follow along with our Murray1st UMK Kids in Faith this week!

We’re continuing our What a Mess series, where our kids are learning more about Jesus’ ministry and how He meets us in the middle of life’s messiest and most unexpected moments.

📖 John 9:1–12 – Jesus meets a man who had been blind since birth. While others were focused on finding a reason for his blindness, Jesus saw an opportunity for God’s work to be revealed. Jesus heals him, showing us that even when a situation looks messy or unclear, God may be doing something we cannot yet see.

🙏 Prayer: We prayed and asked God to help us see what He is doing, even when things look messy or unclear.

As we reflect this week, we’re asking:
Is there a place where we’ve already decided nothing good can come from it? Is there a way we can shift our perspective and ask what God might be doing instead? How can we choose to see possibility and new beginnings today?

We invite you to follow along at home and look for the ways God may be at work; even in the places that feel messy, confusing, or uncertain. 💛

📣 Tonight continues another week of Wednesday night programming with our Murray1st UMK and Murray1st UMY Kids in Faith and Youth in Faith! 📣

Programming kicks off with dinner at 5:15 PM: tonight's meal is hot dogs🌭🌭 so make sure to come hungry!

Our Kids in Faith are continuing their "What a Mess" series, learning more about Jesus' ministry and how He meets us right in the middle of the messiness of life. Tonight's lesson will go over the story of Jesus healing the blind man.

Our Youth in Faith have a lesson called "Hair-Raising Courage" and they will continue going through scripture and stories of the Bible.

We can't wait to see everyone for another great night of food, fellowship, fun, and growing in faith!
