🥛🍪 Milk & Cookies + BIG Questions! 🍪🥛

Wednesday night with our 1st–6th graders was a sweet one—not just because of the milk and cookies, but because of the questions they asked!

We spent some time letting our kids ask Pastor Clint the things they’ve been wondering about faith, God, Jesus, and the Bible.

Some of their questions included:

What do angels look like?
Does God give everyone a chance to be saved?
If God knew Satan was going to do what he did, why did he not stop him?
Why did David fight Goliath?
If Adam and Eve didn’t sin, would Heaven be any different?
How old is Jesus?
Who made Hell?
Why did God create hell if he doesn’t like it?
Will God return to earth?
Will we get new names in Heaven?
Where did God come from?
How does God talk to me?

I absolutely love that our kids feel safe enough to ask the hard questions. Questions aren’t something to be afraid of—they’re opportunities to learn, grow, and dig deeper into who God is.

Tomorrow is going to be a GREAT day at Elm Grove! 🙌

We’ll begin our worship gathering by celebrating THREE BAPTISMS — three public testimonies of lives changed by Jesus Christ! We will have more the next Sunday!

Then we’ll worship together through singing, giving, prayer, and the preaching of God’s Word. And after a three-month pause, we are jumping back into the Gospel of John!

📖 John 6:1–15 — Jesus Feeds the Multitude. Five loaves. Two fish. Thousands of hungry people. And a problem that looked absolutely impossible.

Here’s something to think about before tomorrow: How often do we encounter a problem and immediately start calculating? We calculate the money. We calculate the resources. We calculate the odds. We calculate what we can do. And before long, we reach the conclusion: “This is impossible.” But faith does not mean pretending the problem isn’t real. Faith means looking honestly at the impossibility — and then looking to Jesus. The disciples saw what they didn’t have. Jesus knew what He was about to do.

Come ready to worship. Come ready to celebrate. Come ready to hear from God’s Word. Because what is impossible in our hands is never too much for Christ.

Sunday we return to John—John 6:1-15—where we will look at one of the most familiar miracles in the ministry of Jesus—the feeding of the multitudes.

But don’t come to just hear a story you already know. Come asking the Lord to expose what you are really looking for from Christ.

Are you seeking Jesus because you want Him—or because you want what He can give you?

Are you trusting in your own resources, strength, plans, and ability—or have you learned that what is insufficient in your hands is more than sufficient in His?

Are you willing to receive Christ Himself, even when He does not give you the outcome you wanted?

Come Sunday ready to worship, ready to listen, and ready to be confronted by the Word of God.

Life Groups at 9 AM. Worship at 10 AM.

And…we will have serval baptisms to start the service!

I am super excited about this! Join us Friday night from 6:30-7:45!

Tomorrow we’ll finish our Home By God’s Design series. 🏡

We’ll also observe the Lord’s Supper together.

Worship isn’t something we begin preparing for when we walk through the doors on Sunday morning. We prepare our hearts before we ever arrive.

So tonight, take some time to pray and prepare your heart. Tomorrow morning, do the same. Come ready to worship, hear from God’s Word, and remember together what Christ has done for us.
