Most people say they want revival. Most people say they want to be used by God. But very few are willing to pay the price required to carry His glory and become a vessel fit for His use.
God’s presence is available to every believer, and His desire is to make every life a dwelling place for His Spirit. Yet for that desire to become reality, there must be a daily death to self and a complete surrender to His will.
Not partial surrender. TOTAL SURRENDER!
It means allowing God to determine how He will use your life, even when His plans conflict with your own ambitions, dreams, and expectations. It means laying down your personal agenda so His purpose can prevail.
It means becoming unoffendable and surrendering your right to allow the flesh to rule your reactions. It means walking in genuine humility, being willing to take the back seat instead of the front, and being content to remain unrecognized so that Christ alone receives the glory.
It means embracing a life of prayer, intercession, and travail without becoming distracted by lesser pursuits or discouraged by the demands of the journey. It means moving beyond the limitations of your own strength and allowing His strength to be perfected in your weakness.
It requires continual transparency before God, inviting Him to search every corner of your heart and expose every hidden motive, impurity, and compromise that could grieve or quench His holy presence.
It means losing your attachment to this world and its pleasures. It means following Christ regardless of the opinions, expectations, or pressures of those closest to you. It means enduring criticism, misunderstanding, rejection, and even unjust attacks without becoming wounded, bitter, or offended.
It means remaining steadfast when people disagree with you, misrepresent you, or slander you without cause. You cannot be governed by the opinions of men if you desire to carry the presence of God. Those who live for the approval of people will never fully walk in the approval of God.
There is also a loneliness that comes with carrying His glory. You may be surrounded by people and yet often find yourself alone. Not because you are isolated, but because few understand the place of surrender you have willingly chosen to live in. As God draws you deeper into Himself, you will discover that you have less and less in common with the spirit of this age and often even with many around you. Most will not understand your convictions, your devotion, or the sacrifices you gladly make for His presence. Some will disagree with your choices, others will question them, and many will never fully comprehend the path God has called you to walk. Yet those who carry His glory learn to find their greatest companionship in Him, their deepest fulfillment in His presence, and their highest reward in His approval alone.
The real price of carrying His glory is not your comfort, your convenience, your reputation, or your preferences.
The real price is your life….. all of it.
Everything on the altar.
Nothing held back.
No conditions.
No negotiations.
Just complete surrender to the King and an unwavering “yes” to whatever He desires.
Revival is free, but carrying revival will cost you everything.
