Faith Builders Ministry

Faith Builders Ministries is a not-for-profit, non-denominational, ministry. It was organized to bridge the gap between local churches and communities. At this time Faith Builders Ministries covers the east-central portion of Indiana. God called us out to help the needy and other faith based ministries in our communities.

We need to remember, too, that demons are extremely persistent. A demon may be driven out but still seek to force its way in again. Jesus warned of this:
"When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, 'I will return to my house from which I came.' And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first...." - Matthew 12:43-45
The unclean spirit returns to "his house"-that is, the person it formerly occupied-and it finds it "empty, swept, and put in order." Then it takes "seven other spirits more wicked than himself," reenters the house with them and occupies it once again.
What was there about "the house" that opened the way for the demon to reenter? The house was "swept"-that was no problem. It was "put in order"- that was no problem, either. But it was "empty"-that was the problem! The man had left his house vacant. He had never taken Jesus in to be his Lord.
When a person commits himself to Jesus as his Lord, he can look to Jesus for supernatural power to keep demons out. But without Jesus as Lord, he does not have the strength to protect his "house." When the demon assaults him, it may quickly break down his ineffective resistance. Then, when the demon reenters, it brings with it seven other demons, each more wicked than itself, and the person is worse off than he was before.
Let me illustrate with an example that became vivid to me. In the 1960s I generally traveled by car with Lydia to my preaching assignments in the U.S.
Sometimes this meant a journey of two or three days. At evening, as we drove into a city, we would look for a neon sign with one word: Vacancy. When we saw that sign, we knew there was a motel open to receive us.
In the spiritual realm, Satan's demons roam around looking for the same sign: Vacancy. When they see it, they say to themselves, Ah! Here's a person who hasn't made Jesus Lord of his life. Perhaps we'll be able to force our way in. There is only one safeguard: making sure Jesus truly is Lord of every area of your life.

Most people say they want revival. Most people say they want to be used by God. But very few are willing to pay the price required to carry His glory and become a vessel fit for His use.

God’s presence is available to every believer, and His desire is to make every life a dwelling place for His Spirit. Yet for that desire to become reality, there must be a daily death to self and a complete surrender to His will.

Not partial surrender. TOTAL SURRENDER!

It means allowing God to determine how He will use your life, even when His plans conflict with your own ambitions, dreams, and expectations. It means laying down your personal agenda so His purpose can prevail.

It means becoming unoffendable and surrendering your right to allow the flesh to rule your reactions. It means walking in genuine humility, being willing to take the back seat instead of the front, and being content to remain unrecognized so that Christ alone receives the glory.

It means embracing a life of prayer, intercession, and travail without becoming distracted by lesser pursuits or discouraged by the demands of the journey. It means moving beyond the limitations of your own strength and allowing His strength to be perfected in your weakness.

It requires continual transparency before God, inviting Him to search every corner of your heart and expose every hidden motive, impurity, and compromise that could grieve or quench His holy presence.

It means losing your attachment to this world and its pleasures. It means following Christ regardless of the opinions, expectations, or pressures of those closest to you. It means enduring criticism, misunderstanding, rejection, and even unjust attacks without becoming wounded, bitter, or offended.

It means remaining steadfast when people disagree with you, misrepresent you, or slander you without cause. You cannot be governed by the opinions of men if you desire to carry the presence of God. Those who live for the approval of people will never fully walk in the approval of God.

There is also a loneliness that comes with carrying His glory. You may be surrounded by people and yet often find yourself alone. Not because you are isolated, but because few understand the place of surrender you have willingly chosen to live in. As God draws you deeper into Himself, you will discover that you have less and less in common with the spirit of this age and often even with many around you. Most will not understand your convictions, your devotion, or the sacrifices you gladly make for His presence. Some will disagree with your choices, others will question them, and many will never fully comprehend the path God has called you to walk. Yet those who carry His glory learn to find their greatest companionship in Him, their deepest fulfillment in His presence, and their highest reward in His approval alone.

The real price of carrying His glory is not your comfort, your convenience, your reputation, or your preferences.

The real price is your life….. all of it.

Everything on the altar.
Nothing held back.
No conditions.
No negotiations.

Just complete surrender to the King and an unwavering “yes” to whatever He desires.

Revival is free, but carrying revival will cost you everything.
