We often remember Martha as the stressed-out, distracted host, while her sister sat at Jesus' feet. But her story continues, and tomorrow morning at GT, we will look at John 11 and witness Martha's incredible growth, authentic faith, and amazing declaration of Jesus. Come be challenged and encouraged by Martha’s story and discover how Jesus can use even our darkest seasons not to break our faith, but to expand it. There will be a Disaster Recovery Center in Delaware County tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday for those who need disaster recovery assistance.

Disaster Recovery Center Coming to Delaware County

The Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS), in coordination with FEMA, will open a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Delaware County to assist residents and businesses impacted by the recent disaster.

The Disaster Recovery Center will serve as a one-stop location for disaster recovery assistance, bringing together approximately 15 state and federal agencies and partner organizations. Residents and business owners will have an opportunity to meet directly with representatives, ask questions about their individual circumstances, and receive assistance navigating available disaster recovery programs and resources.

Representatives will be available to help individuals better understand the assistance for which they may be eligible, address questions related to the recovery process, and connect disaster survivors with appropriate state, federal, and partner resources.

Federal assistance:

- FEMA: Individual Assistance application support
- U.S. Small Business Administration: Disaster loan information for individuals

State assistance:

- Housing support: Temporary housing assistance
- Social services: Crisis counseling and mental health service referrals
- Insurance guidance: Help reviewing insurance policies and replacing documents
- Motor vehicle assistance: Support with registrations and licenses
- Public health resources: Vaccination records, vital records (birth and death certificates), tetanus shots, and cleanup guidance
- State Disaster Relief Fund: Assistance with SDRF applications

Hours of Operation

Wednesday, Sept 2nd through Friday, Sept. 4th: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Saturday Sept. 5th: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Delaware County residents and businesses impacted by the disaster are encouraged to visit the Disaster Recovery Center if they have questions, need assistance with the recovery process, or would like to speak directly with participating agencies and organizations.

No appointment is necessary. Residents may visit the Disaster Recovery Center during any of the listed hours of operation.
