I do not desire to pick political sides with this statement, but I feel the confusion on all of this very deeply.

The scriptures liken people to trees that bear fruit.

I wonder what Trump would look like as a tree? I wonder what type of fruit would be hanging off his branches? Would I want to eat from this tree?

I don't think so.

Same with Biden though, what would his tree look like? And would I want to eat fruit from his tree?

I don't think so, I think I would pass, I'd look for a better tree to eat from.

I understand people voting based on policy. Cast your votes, but these men aren't worth following. Their fruit isn't worth eating. It might make you sick.

This goes for all the news outlets out there as well. lots of bad fruit making people sick. We are all sick as a culture.

I feel like we're living in Isaiah 59

Jesus is the tree worth eating from. He is the true source, His fruit sustains us. In Him is life, life abundant. This is not a sentiment.

Song of Solomon 2:3 Like an apple tree among the trees of the woods, So is my beloved among the sons.
I sat down in his shade with great delight,
And his fruit was sweet to my taste.

I felt the Lord speak this over me while journaling. Maybe He's speaking this over you too.

These problems, your perception will melt like wax in my presence, come to me, set aside your things, close your computer, turn off your phone, turn off the sound, the devices, the man made things that call to your attention. Lay them aside, come to me and be with me, abide in me, abide in the thoughts I have for you until my thoughts are your thoughts, until my desires are your desires.

Hey everyone, I want to make sure everyone in my area (East Central Indiana) knows we have a men's leadership summit happening tomorrow at 8am at Blood 'n' Fire on Madison in Muncie, IN.

It's hosted by a ministry I help out with (Men Leading Men Ministry) that provides resources, encouragement and networking among church men's groups in the region.

For this meeting in particular, all men (teenage boys welcome as well) that feel called to lead (whether a small group or called into some form of ministry) are invited to come and participate. We have a speaker scheduled, Brent Henderson, a nationwide public speaker, published author and host of a great podcast that focuses on identity in men. We also have a panel discussion, men's ministry booths, refreshments etc...

Please consider coming especially if you're part of or lead a men's group in the area, there are few unified church events that happen in the area. Come be apart of a greater gathering of other Christian men in the area, let's get connected. There is a $15 registration fee for men, $5 for boys (under 18), pastors fee's are waived (if money is an issue, we'll figure it out, you're still invited :) ). Just your friendly reminder that if you are Christ's you are not of this world, your homeland is heaven and you are a walking gateway, both an ambassador and an embassy of heaven, wherever you are heaven is, the kingdom is within you. You bring within yourself wherever you are all the possibilities of Heaven.

These are not nice thoughts to get you through the day, this is a true reality and we need to be awake to it. Awake and aware of His great love for us. So much love, so many possibilities. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, seek first the Kingdom of God and see what happens.

It's worth it. Worth giving up all the gold and fame and luxuries this life has to offer.
