This month, we joyfully celebrate our 6th anniversary as a Reconciling in Christ ministry!

Our RIC commitment is more than a milestone—it’s an ongoing promise to live out God’s expansive love through welcome, inclusion, celebration, and advocacy for LGBTQIA+ people and their families.

We give thanks for all who have been part of this journey and look ahead with hope as we continue this work together.

Children’s Chapel this Sunday during the 9:30am Service. This is the last chapel before Summer break.

We welcome our youngest worshipers to Children's Church on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month. Children will begin service in the sanctuary with their families and then are invited to go to Children's Church in The Hive. After crafts, games, and a bible lesson, children return to the sanctuary and their families during the Passing of the Peace.

More about Progressive Churches Working Together:
"Jesus loves LGBTQ+ folks because of their q***rness, not in spite of it. Progressive Churches Working Together is a collective of churches in Snohomish who see the need to stand up and affirm God's people in this world. We are a collection of pastors and lay people who seek to reduce the harm done by Christianity by showing up with love and affirmation. You are q***rfully and wonderfully made! "

A special message from President Christopher Ross.

The values that guide Compass Housing Alliance include love, compassionate curiosity, and advocacy. We live out those values every day, including when we walk alongside our guests and residents, not judging them, but celebrating their unique viewpoints and inherent humanity.

As we move into Pride Month, that dedication to equality is at the forefront of my mind.

Our society has made great strides toward equality, from the early moments of the modern Gay Rights movement at Stonewall to marriage equality, but that progress has not been a straight line – pun intended.

The LGBTQ community continues to face societal barriers to their rights and freedoms. At a time when the LGBTQ community faces legal challenges in parts of our nation, Compass is committed to removing the barriers to stable housing, providing safe shelter, and serving each person without judgment.

Five decades ago, the late Harvey Milk (the first openly gay mayor of San Francisco who was tragically assassinated while in office) famously said, “Hope will never be silent.” Those powerful words continue to resonate for Compass in 2026 as we continue to stand with those whose voices need uplifting. When we provide housing to those who need it, we help create the scaffolding for hope and the sense of stability so that their voices are heard throughout our community.

In June, Compass staff and families will be invited to march with us in the Seattle Pride Parade. We march to celebrate the tremendous resilience and joy in this community. We march because showing up is important. Plus, there is nothing like a group of people who celebrate who they are, like the LGBTQ community. It is a wonderful experience to find sunshine even in the clouds.

Thank you again for being there for Compass. We will joyfully march forward!
