SUNDAY RECAP | THE WAY OF JESUS

What does it mean to truly follow Jesus? In John 13, we see how Jesus faced betrayal, remained faithful to His purpose, and called His disciples to love one another as He loved them.

Following Jesus means more than saying we believe. It means surrendering our pride, trusting who He is, and allowing His love to shape the way we live. True greatness isn’t found in power or recognition, but in humility, obedience, and a willingness to serve others.

The world should recognize us not just by what we say, but by the way we love.

“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” — John 13:35 NIV

Let’s be a generation that lives surrendered to Jesus and loves like Him, even when it costs us something. 🙌🏼

“Let the little children come to me…” — Matthew 19:14

There is something so powerful about witnessing the faith of a child and seeing them take this step of obedience to Jesus. Baptism is a public declaration of faith, a symbol of a life surrendered to Him, and a beautiful reminder that we are called to follow Jesus at every age.

These moments remind us that faith is not about how old we are, but about the condition of our hearts. To witness these children publicly declare their faith is a reminder of the beauty of a heart that is learning to trust Jesus, walk in His truth, and build its foundation on Him.

Our prayer is that these children will grow up knowing the depth of God’s love, rooted in His Word, surrounded by a community that points them to Jesus, and confident in the truth that they belong to Him. May they continue to grow in wisdom and faith, choosing Him not only in moments like these, but in every season of their lives.

May their faith inspire us to approach Jesus with the same humility, trust, and wholehearted dependence that He calls each of us to have. And may we never underestimate what God can do through a generation that is learning to know Him from a young age.

The next generation belongs to Jesus, and what a beautiful privilege it is to witness their faith and celebrate what God is doing in their lives. 🤍

SUNDAY RECAP | WOULD YOU GRAB A BASIN?

What does it really look like to serve like Jesus? This week, we looked at John 13 and the moment Jesus washed His disciples’ feet, showing us that true greatness isn’t found in being served, but in choosing to serve others.

Even knowing He would be betrayed, Jesus chose to love until the end. His example challenges us to lay down our pride, surrender to Him, and love others through humble, intentional service. Following Jesus isn’t just about what we believe, but how we live it out every day.

“Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.” — John 13:14

Let’s be a generation that doesn’t just talk about serving like Jesus, but actually grabs the basin. 🙌🏼

SUNDAY RECAP | THE COST

This Sunday, we were honored to welcome Pastor Rick Bezet to Seacoast Mount Pleasant. We’re grateful for his time with us and for the powerful message he shared.

In “The Cost,” we were reminded that following Jesus requires more than a moment of surrender, it’s a daily commitment to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and faithfully follow Him. True discipleship means choosing Jesus above our own desires and living out our faith with authenticity and wholehearted devotion.

“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” — Matthew 16:24

Thank you, Pastor Rick, for investing in our community and reminding us of the true cost of following Jesus. 🤍

We often respond to our pain and struggles by asking the question: “why?” But here Jesus reminds us that suffering is not always a result of sin but can actually be an opportunity for God’s glory to be revealed through us. What if your difficulty is actually the place God chooses to do a great work through you?
