Tyriq Davis, a recent alumnus of Central Michigan University, first connected with St. Mary University Parish through his girlfriend—and this year, he took a life-changing step in faith as he was welcomed into the Catholic Church!

During the Easter Vigil, Tyriq was Baptized, Confirmed, and received his First Communion. Though he admits he felt nervous, he was deeply encouraged by the love and support surrounding him. “Having the university parish community made a huge difference,” Tyriq shared. “It’s so much easier to take that step when you have a strong group of people supporting you and making you feel at home on campus.”

Join us at Sacred Heart Parish on June 7 at 10:00 a.m. for the Feast of Corpus Christi!

The Feast of Corpus Christi, also known as the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, is the Church's celebration of the real presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.

The Feast Day will begin with Mass at Sacred Heart Parish, followed by a Eucharistic procession to our parish and a shared picnic lunch! Transportation assistance will be available for those with mobility needs, and a return shuttle from St. Mary to Sacred Heart will run at the conclusion of the event.
